Happy Birthday Emma Lorente, you are an amazing wife,
Souls mates, business partners and loving life

It’s hard to believe we’re 7 years married today,
You need a medal - some would say!

7 years represents copper - which is ironic given our previous jobs,
Who’d have thought we would leave that - to do property refurbs and distribute Isotex blocks!

Wool is the other representation for 7 years married, I read
But I could never pull the wool over your eyes - it has to be said!

It’s been an absolute roller coaster -the last seven years
From businesses, Covid and some family & friend losses - bringing some tears

We remember those at our wedding that are no longer here
Like my old man Andy, Raymond, Fred and Adam Watts - which was tragic to hear

It also makes us grateful for what we’ve got
From our health and quality time together - even if it’s visiting projects and laying Isotex blocks! 😂

You make me laugh every single day,
With your quick Mancunian whit and the things you say!

A stunning woman and a fantastic cook,
You can even take some credit for my now chubbier look!

I’m excited every morning that I wake up,
To have a fantastic wife and can’t believe my luck!

Some may be sick of seeing this video of our wedding dance
But here it is again, you know me, just full of romance! 🥰

Meet the team of self builders…

Building their external walls of this new build using Isotex ICF blocks!
After one of them had a one day of training with us!

It’s Helen’s & Kevin Cheleda’s project after Helen spent a day with us moving our permanent display at The National Self Build Centre, earlier this year.

Along with her sister in law Tanya (60) and her hubby Andy who have travelled all the way over from Canada to help!

Then there’s her friends Debs aged 65, who trained as a plumber when she was at 48!

What an incredible bunch of woman, who slept well last night!

Keep inspiring the rest of us!

Are you a house builder looking for one of the easiest, cost effective build systems out there?

We can train folk up in less than a day to build with Isotex, addressing the skills gap, addressing unemployment, addressing the housing crisis!

Are you looking to attend our one of day courses in how to build with Isotex or considering using Isotex blocks for your build?

For £99 + vat this could be the best investment in a days course you’ve ever made!

The next day course is back at The National Self Build & Renovation Centre in Swindon on Sunday 11th October, 2026.

Here is a real life Superwoman - Helen Cheleda!

We have been assisting Helen for a while since she first contacted us almost 2 years ago about building her new home with the world leading Isotex ICF Blocks, which one of our companies Murotex is the exclusive supplier for the UK & Ireland.

Now with her plans approved she was so excited she couldn’t wait for one of our training dates so agreed to meet us at The National Self Build Centre in Swindon to assist in moving and building our display.

Fair to say Helen got stuck and was phenomenal in picking it up and throwing up this corner wall and lintel and even fitted a window!

That’s what we love doing at Murotex, supporting people of all ages and skill sets from experienced developers like Green Leaf Design & Build with their 16 x energy efficient homes, to Peter in Preston who built an 8m x 4m workshop to incredible woman like Helen Cheleda who has a brilliant can do attitude and will inspire many!

Great to spend a day with you Helen and excited for your new build starting soon in Taunton, Somerset , so watch this space! 👏🏻

Also massive thanks to the staff at the NSBRC who have been nothing but cheery and helpful every time we are there and a must visit place for any self builder!

Emma Lorente and I don’t watch much TV but have to admit to loving this seasons Traitors!

What a brilliant advert for the Highlands & Islands and Scotland with stunning scenery! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Also privileged to have spent time with some of our gang Aidan Lorente, Abbey Louise, Jordan Bullock, Ben Dorward a few years ago at Loch Glass where some of the filming was done for the traitors (where they had the coffins in the Loch!).
