We would like to introduce you to our ageing herd of Exmoor ponies. You might see them spending more time lying down than usual, as they are over 30 years old. One has been struggling with arthritis for some time and is under close veterinary supervision, receiving daily medication. All our conservation grazing livestock are checked daily by our dedicated team of volunteers and staff. As the herd gets older, they become more sensitive, so please give them space and keep dogs on leads at all times. Image: ©National Trust/Iris Roser

Don't just walk along the clifftops - find out more about them as you stroll. Why not join our guided walk tomorrow, departing from outside the shop at the Visitor Centre at 11am and arriving at South Foreland Lighthouse at 12.30pm. On the way, we'll talk about the incredible history of the cliffs, their flora and fauna; we'll look at the busiest shipping lane in the world and, if you're lucky, you'll see France. The walk and the outside compound at the lighthouse are dog-friendly, and dog water bowls are available at the start and finish of the walk. Image: ©National Trust/Megan Taylor
