Tamlin is an associate solicitor in our Clinical Negligence department. She has been nominated in the Rising Star of the Year category.

Congratulations to Sarah Myatt who has been awarded Higher Rights of Audience in the Criminal Courts.

The new qualification means that Sarah can represent clients in all courts, providing more continuity for her clients.

Sarah is now one of three Solicitor Advocates in the Criminal Law team (Michael Devlin and Rob Fones being the others). The team also has an in-house Barrister, Jim Littlehales.

David Greenwood, a specialist child abuse solicitor is calling on government to set up an inquiry into the brutal treatment of young boys at detention centres during the 1970's and 80's.

David and his team have already helped over 400 men get compensation for the assaults they were subjected to at detention centres and are now focusing their aim at getting compensation for the men assaulted at the Eastwood Park detention centre in Gloucestershire.

FREE LEGAL ADVICE CLINICS

Some of our team will be volunteering at the University of Huddersfield Legal Advice Clinic, offering free legal advice on family issues such as marriage, divorce, finances, children (private and public) and social services.

These drop-in sessions (at the Packhorse Centre) provide vital services for the local community and give university students valuable experience as they shadow the lawyers and get an insight into a variety of real legal matters.
