Welcome to Middleton Ross, a traditional legal firm representing Ross-shire and beyond, established in 1899, and still operating from the same building at 7 High Street, Dingwall, the County town of Ross & Cromarty, situated fifteen miles north of Inverness. There is also a branch office in Alness ten miles north and the largest town in Ross and Cromarty in terms of population. Covering a wide area of the county from East to West Coast, the practice deals with all aspects of domestic and commercial property, Wills and estates, and Powers of Attorney and Guardianships and has a large share of the estate agency market for sales and letting. Five solicitors are available to attend to your requirements and there are full time property department staff.

Meet The Team

Donna and Louise are the two familiar faces behind our Cashroom, keeping a close eye on the firm’s finances and making sure everything is where it should be. They work brilliantly together and, between them, there’s not much that gets past the Cashroom!

Donna joined us back in 2022 as part of our reception team and has since become an integral part of the firm. Donna completed her SOLAS training in 2025 and brings a real mix of care, professionalism and attention to detail to her role.

Louise joined us in early 2025 after a long career with TSB, so she was already a familiar face to many of our clients. Her experience, organisation and eye for detail make her a fantastic addition to the Cashroom team.

Together, Donna and Louise do a brilliant job of keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Of course, when the working day is over, they’re just as committed to keeping things running smoothly… especially when it comes to a team night out! They’re known for keeping the dancing and partying going until the wee small hours.

Meet our Paralegals at Middleton Ross

You’ll often speak to our paralegals as part of your legal journey, so we thought it was time to introduce you to two members of the Middleton Ross team.

Madeleine works in Residential Conveyancing, helping clients through the process of buying and selling their homes and keeping things moving from the initial paperwork right through to completion.

Steph works with our Executries, Wills and Powers of Attorney team, helping clients put their affairs in order and supporting families through the legal and practical aspects of dealing with an estate following a bereavement.

While their areas of work are quite different, both roles involve working closely with clients, answering questions and helping to make what can sometimes feel like a complicated process as straightforward as possible.

So, if you’re buying or selling a home, dealing with an estate, making a Will or Power of Attorney, there’s a good chance you’ll get to know one of them along the way!

Angus had the fantastic opportunity to meet the King in Dingwall today on behalf of the Puffin Pool.
Knowing this was a special occasion, Angus came into work in his kilt especially for the royal visit. We are delighted to report that the kilt did impress not only the King but also his clients.
A very proud moment for us and a brilliant opportunity to represent the Puffin Pool.
