Its forecast to be hot this week in the UK so here are some simple tips to look after your people

☀️ Remind your teams to keep hydrated. Many of us don’t drink the recommended 2 litres a day on a normal day, but its even more important as the temperature rises. Dehydration can cause headaches, poor concentration and make people irritable making conflicts easier to occur.

☀️ Keep workplaces cool where possible with fans and AC.

☀️ Consider those who have medical concerns or employees who are pregnant. Have a conversation and make any reasonable adjustments which are needed for that person.

☀️ Consider the relaxing the dress code where appropriate. Be clear in your communication as to what is acceptable and appropriate for your business.

☀️ If your people are out in the sun, do they need extra breaks?

🍦And let’s bring some fun into the workplace and as a one off, treat everyone to an ice cream, your teams will love it.

How do you let an employee know they're doing a good job? Does having an appraisal system sound like hard work? Well then don't bother, yep you heard just don't bother!
......but also don't moan when people just get on with it and deliver stuff you don't want or need.

Take Rex here, he knows he's a dog but his owner really, really wants him to be a reindeer. They didn't agree he would become a reindeer, its not in his job description, no one told him he would have to manage a whole load of other reindeer. Just LOOK at how happy he is about it!
