Following a record £43m financial year, we’re pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Johnson as our new Chief Finance Officer to accelerate the firm’s next phase of national growth.

Mark joins from Browne Jacobson, where he played a pivotal role in scaling revenue from £70m to £130m in five years, alongside improving profitability through disciplined financial strategy and targeted commercial initiatives.

With more than 15 years’ experience across the legal and financial services sectors, Mark combines deep technical expertise with the key attributes of a modern CFO.

Commenting on the appointment, our Chief Executive Qamer Ghafoor said:

“Mark is exactly the calibre of CFO we need at this stage in our journey. He brings a rare combination of commercial acumen, strategic clarity and a proven ability to scale organisations at pace.”

Mark added:

Great to get out of the office yesterday evening with colleagues from our Derby team for a Walk & Drinks in Duffield. 🌿🍻

A relaxed circular walk through the countryside gave everyone the chance to properly catch up – especially with people we don’t always get to spend time with day to day.

We rounded things off at a local pub, which was a nice way to unwind and continue the conversations.

We are pleased to welcome Paul Tyler-Burke to Flint Bishop, who joins us as an Associate in our Defendant Personal Injury team in Birmingham.

Paul brings more than 20 years’ experience in defendant insurance litigation, with specialist expertise in credit hire disputes, motor claims and fraud defence.

He joins from DAC Beachcroft Claims Ltd, where he managed a substantial caseload of litigated motor claims and advised insurer clients on liability, indemnity and quantum issues.

Paul’s career also includes in-house defence experience at RSA Legal, alongside earlier private practice roles focused on motor fraud and RTA litigation.

His appointment further strengthens our Defendant Personal Injury offering and enhances our specialist capability in complex, high-volume motor claims work.

🚀 Flint Bishop has delivered a landmark year of growth, surpassing £40m in revenue for the first time as we continue our ambitious expansion strategy towards becoming a Top 100 UK law firm.

For the year ending 30 April 2026, the firm achieved revenue of £43m — up from £31.7m the previous year and £20.7m in 2024 — representing more than a doubling in size over two years.

Our team has also grown to a record 452 people, with 127 new joiners over the past 12 months.

Alongside strong financial performance, we have continued to strengthen our national platform through expansion, strategic acquisitions, and sustained investment in IT infrastructure, AI, and technological advancement — ensuring we are not only growing, but building a business designed to scale.

Chief Executive Qamer Ghafoor said:

“This has been a defining year for Flint Bishop. Breaking through the £40m mark is a major milestone, but what matters most is the strength, depth, and ambition of our people, who have made this growth possible.

⏹️ Oksana Hudson joins as Partner in the Finance Dispute Resolution team. Joining from TLT LLP, Oksana brings over 12 years’ experience and an outstanding track record in handling high-value and complex disputes on behalf of major financial institutions.
