Following the opening of our new Sheffield office earlier this month, we're pleased to announce the appointment of Charlotte Harris as Partner in our Commercial Property team as we continue to build our service offering within the region.

With more than 20 years’ experience in commercial property, Charlotte has supported a wide range of clients throughout her career. She has a particular focus on healthcare, advising funders and care home operators on acquisitions, disposals and financing, alongside significant experience supporting clients across the waste and renewables sectors. She has also advised investment businesses and banks on a broad range of commercial property matters.

Having spent much of her career in Sheffield, Charlotte also brings a strong understanding of the local market as we continue to invest in our team and strengthen our offering across the region.

Following a period of extraordinary national growth, we have officially solidified our regional presence by establishing prime, city-centre, state-of-the-art Grade A offices at 1 Holly Street in Sheffield, marking a major milestone in the firm’s aggressive expansion strategy across the North of England.

The move follows a period of record-breaking financial growth, with the firm surpassing a landmark £43 million in revenue for year ending 30 April 2026, effectively doubling our overall size in just two years. This momentum has continued into the new financial year, with the firm delivering a record first-quarter 2026/27 performance, representing 31% growth compared with Q1 of the previous year.

The new office, officially opened on 10 August 2026, represents a broader strategic investment programme focused on people, office space and technology to support the firm’s significant growth. The office provides more than 70 workstations, high-tech meeting facilities, contemporary collaboration and breakout areas, dedicated training and event space, and modern amenities that support flexible working, innovation and employee wellbeing.

Russell joins Flint Bishop from Knights, bringing more than a decade of experience advising businesses, shareholders and lenders on a wide range of complex corporate transactions, including M&A, employee ownership trusts, restructurings, joint ventures and governance matters.

His appointment further strengthens our Corporate team in Sheffield and follows the recent opening of our new state-of-the-art Grade A office in the city centre, reflecting our continued investment in key regional markets and our ambition to build one of the UK's leading regional corporate practices.

🍰 Yesterday, colleagues at our Derby office came together to support Derby Kids' Camp's Feed the Fun appeal through a charity bake sale.

Thanks to everyone's generosity, and a generous contribution from our CEO, we've successfully raised over £750, enough to provide nutritious meals for more than 15 children throughout their entire week at camp. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated and supported such a fantastic cause.

Yesterday, we celebrated the successful completion of the 2025–26 Flint Bishop Law Academy, recognising 10 talented trainees who have spent the last 12 months developing the skills, confidence and commercial awareness needed to build successful legal careers.

At Flint Bishop, we believe great lawyers need more than technical expertise. The ability to communicate effectively, think commercially and build strong relationships is just as important. Through the Law Academy, our trainees gain the broader skills that help them thrive in a modern legal environment.

The programme concluded with a celebratory event attended by CEO Qamer Ghafoor, Head of HR Holly Dixon, HR Manager San Gosal, Head of Recruitment Scott Gregory and colleagues from across the firm who have shared their expertise and supported the cohort throughout the year.

We're delighted to welcome James Parden to Flint Bishop as a Partner in our Dispute Resolution team, based in Sheffield.

With more than 20 years' experience in property litigation, James joins us from BRM Solicitors, where he was a Director. He has advised developers, investors, landowners, financial institutions, retailers, universities and listed companies on a wide range of complex commercial and residential property disputes.

James' appointment further strengthens our real estate offering, enhancing our ability to provide clients with seamless support across both transactional property matters and specialist dispute resolution.
