Dartford Football Club would like to announce Samir Carruthers is leaving the club.

While manager Ben Greenhalgh invited Samir back for preseason training after his injury, other immediate options proved more attractive.

Everyone at the club thanks Samir for his time here, a player that has entertained fans, scored some amazing goals and been a much loved player on and off the pitch.

We wish him the best of luck in whatever the future brings.

Ben Greenhalgh said: “On his day Samir is one of the best in the league. He’s been reallly unlucky with his injuries over the last two seasons and hopefully once he’s fully recovered from his operation he’ll be back to producing those levels.

He was someone I’ve spoken to a lot, we part on the best of terms and I wish him the best in the future.“

👊 Dartford FC are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jordan Higgs from Tonbridge Angels.

Jordan came through the academy set up at Bromley, appearing 131 times for them across six seasons.

He then played for Dulwich Hamlet and Dover Athletic before signing for
Tonbridge Angels, winning Supporters’ Player of the Year, Player’s Player of the Year and Goal of the Season in 23/24.

He then signed for Maidstone before heading back to Tonbridge Angels last season.

The 29-year-old now signs for Ben with a wealth of experience behind him in the divisions above.
