On Tuesday, we were delighted to host an art event in partnership with local charity, Rotherfield St Martin.

The display showcased beautiful artwork created by members of Rotherfield St Martin Art Club, inspired by the landscapes of Ashdown Forest and beyond.

A real highlight was welcoming all of the artists to see their work on display. It was a wonderful and uplifting social occasion, with plenty of smiles as they shared their creativity with one another.

We were also pleased to welcome Cllr Natalie Whittle, Mayor of Crowborough; Matt Allen, President of Crowborough and District Chamber of Commerce and Vicky Cheeseman, Charity Manager at Rotherfield St Martin.

Special thanks go to Annie Benthack, Art Teacher for the Rotherfield St Martin Art Club, whose encouragement and guidance continue to support the artists’ confidence and creativity.

The afternoon was enjoyed over tea and cakes, and despite the thunderstorms outside, the atmosphere remained warm, positive and full of community spirit.

It was especially fitting that it took place during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate the people who make moments like this possible. Rotherfield St Martin relies heavily on the dedication of its volunteers, whose time and support make such a difference in the community.

At Claire Nash Solicitors, we are proud to support Rotherfield St Martin and help highlight the important work they do within our community.

We're still smiling after such a wonderful Lindfield Village Day last Saturday and wanted to share a few more photos from the event.

It was fantastic to meet so many local residents, chat with familiar faces, and welcome new ones to our stand. Thank you again to everyone who stopped by, entered our 'Take a Tote and Tag Us' competition, and helped make the day such a success.

We love being part of our local community and are grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown throughout the day.

Here's a selection of some more of our favourite moments from the event. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Did you spot yourself in any of these photos? Let us know in the comments!

Introduction to Justice at Punnetts Town Community Primary School

Last month, our Business Development Manager, Samantha Norgate, visited Punnetts Town Community Primary School to support another fantastic All Rise Workshops, proudly sponsored by Claire Nash Solicitors

Students took part in an interactive reimagining of Goldilocks and the Three Bears - with Goldilocks herself standing trial for breaking and entering and theft! Let’s just say she didn’t get off lightly…

Founded and run by James Stewart, a former London solicitor turned primary school teacher, All Rise Workshops deliver fun and interactive sessions that introduce young people aged 9 -18 to the justice system and how it works in everyday life.

We are delighted to have been able to fund four workshops across three local schools enabling 117 children the chance to experience the law in an engaging and memorable way.

Samantha Norgate said:
“I came away from the day feeling uplifted and inspired… James was brilliant. It was such a lovely school, and the children and teachers were fantastic. Thank you for enabling me to take part.”

Are you a business looking to make a difference? Sponsoring a workshop is a powerful way to help young people understand justice and their role within it.

This week marks Dementia Action Week - an important opportunity to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and support people affected by dementia across the UK.

At Claire Nash Solicitors, we are working towards becoming a dementia-friendly law firm because we want every client and family we support to feel understood, respected, and supported.

We are committed to:
• Providing regular dementia awareness training for our team
• Improving accessibility across our offices, communication, and website
• Working alongside local organisations, charities, and care providers
• Ensuring our approach remains compassionate, flexible, and client-focused

On Tuesday, some of our team took part in the Dementia Experience Bus organised by Rotherfield St Martin - a local charity we are proud to support - the session was a powerful immersive experience designed to help participants better understand some of the challenges people living with dementia may face each day.

We were also proud to sponsor the Dementia Experience Bus, helping more people in our community gain greater awareness, empathy, and understanding.

Together, we can help create more dementia-friendly communities.

As it’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to reflect on this year’s theme - Action.

In the legal profession, we spend so much time supporting clients, solving problems, and meeting deadlines that we can sometimes forget to check in on ourselves and those around us.

At Claire Nash Solicitors, we often help people through some of life’s most stressful and emotional moments - bereavement, divorce, later-life planning, and moving home.

Behind every legal matter is a person, a family, and real emotion.

We believe strong businesses are built not only on expertise, but also on compassion, relationships, and community support.

So this week, we encourage everyone to take one positive action - whether that’s checking in on a colleague, supporting a friend, making time to listen, or taking care of your own wellbeing.

Sometimes, the smallest action can make the biggest difference.

This week is Dying Matters Awareness Week - a campaign led by Hospice UK encouraging people to have more open conversations about death, dying and planning ahead.

Claire Nash Solicitors we know these conversations are not always easy, but putting plans in place can give real peace of mind to you and your loved ones.

Having a Will and Lasting Powers of Attorney in place means:
✔ Your wishes are clearly recorded
✔ Your family is protected
✔ Someone you trust can make important decisions if you are unable to

Too often, families are left facing uncertainty at an already emotional time. Taking action now can make things much easier later.

Our team is here to provide clear, compassionate advice to help you plan ahead with confidence.

Because protecting your future is one of the most important gifts you can give your family.

Hospice UK’s Dying Matters campaign is working with you to create an open culture in which we’re comfortable talking about death, dying and grief.

We’re delighted to be once again supporting the upcoming Rotary Club of Crowborough Charity Golf Day ⛳ at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club on Fri 15th May, as one of this year’s sponsors, as well as volunteering our time to help on the day.

This fantastic local event brings together businesses and individuals for a great day of golf, networking, and fundraising - all in support of local charity, Taylor-Made Dreams.

We’re proud to support events that strengthen our community and bring people together for a good cause.

There’s also an opportunity for local businesses to get involved by sponsoring a hole. This is a great way to support the event while gaining visibility with participating teams and the wider local business community.

If you’re interested in sponsoring a hole, entering a team or finding out more, please contact the Crowborough Rotary Club directly
