Earlier this week, Trainee Solicitor Kurtis Symons-Peck and Systems Development Manager Robert Stuart took to the pitch for the annual Fiducia Wealth 5-a-side football tournament, proudly supporting St Helena.

Playing in soaring 30-degree heat, they joined forces with the Fiducia home team and battled through an action-packed afternoon of matches. Congratulations to the overall winners and a massive thank you to James Crisell and team at Fiducia for organising a fantastic afternoon.

We’re proud to support charities, such as St Helena Hospice, that play such an important role within our local community.

Does making a prenuptial or cohabitation agreement signal a lack of trust?

In our latest article, Senior Associate Emel Kerwood addresses some of the common misconceptions surrounding these agreements and explains why they can be a positive step for couples.

Rather than being rooted in mistrust, they offer clarity and a form of protection for the individuals in the relationship. Circumstances can change over time, and having an agreement in place can help safeguard financial arrangements, assets and, where relevant, the interests of children.

What a fantastic weekend spent supporting two much‑loved rural shows across the region.

We kicked things off at The Hadleigh Show, where TSP proudly sponsored the trade stand competitions. Marie Allen, Holly Regan and Ivana Sidey represented the firm on the day, with Senior Associate Alex Butler‑Zagni also stepping in as a guest judge.

On Sunday, we were delighted to be at the Essex Young Farmers Show, sponsoring the Festival of Food. Caroline Nicholls, Fiona Ashworth, Fiona Gibson, Kriti Sherchan and Georgia Bolton were on hand to represent TSP.

Across both events, it was a real pleasure to catch up with familiar faces and connect with others from our local rural community.

With long‑standing links to the agricultural sector, and a team that works closely with farmers, landowners and rural businesses, these events are an important opportunity for us to stay connected and continue supporting the people and industries at the heart of our region.

Earlier this afternoon, Team TSP got involved in the annual campaign for .

At our Colchester and Clacton offices, partners and staff donned their most creative headwear to support this fantastic cause and help raise awareness for those affected by brain injury.

The campaign is one that’s particularly close to the hearts of our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team, and it was great to see so many taking part across the UK.

Well done to everyone involved in supporting such an important initiative.

Earlier today, Team TSP took to the green at Hollywood Bowl UK Colchester for Handelsbanken Colchester’s crazy golf networking event, in support of St Helena.

Representing the team were Robert Ashworth, Georgia Bolton and Bushra Elzubeir, with the wonderful addition of Russel Felstead.

We may not have taken home the trophy, but we’re proud to say we were the first team to finish the course!

Thank you to Handelsbanken for organising a brilliant event in support of a fantastic cause.

In our latest article, Property Litigation specialist Burcu Fosker explores the next phase of the Renters’ Rights Act 2025, focusing on the extension of Awaab’s Law into the private rented sector.

Introduced following the tragic death of a young boy due to prolonged mould exposure, Awaab’s Law set strict timelines for social landlords to address serious housing hazards. This protection is now set to extend to private landlords, marking a significant shift in rental regulation.

Alongside the introduction of a new Decent Homes Standard, these reforms represent a major step toward consistent safety and quality standards across all rented housing in the UK.
