Settlement secured following failures in managing non-invasive ventilation.

Compensation was secured for our client after negligent failures in managing non-invasive ventilation (NIV) during a hospital admission led to avoidable respiratory deterioration.

Following expert evidence, the Trust admitted that appropriate ventilation and oxygen management at an earlier stage would have reduced the severity of her condition. A settlement was negotiated to recognise her pain, suffering and loss of amenity.
