A fantastic start to the week as we celebrate Jessica Turner's 10‑year anniversary with Manleys. Jessica, your enormous potential was clear from the very beginning, matched by your loyalty, determination, and drive. Those qualities remain at your core, but over the past decade you have also grown into a formidable and hugely impressive litigator whose commitment to the firm is unquestionable. The celebrations didn't end at breakfast! After a busy day in the office, we were all ready to surprise Mark with dinner. First, a cocktail hour with his very own menu, followed by an incredible evening reminiscing over his last 40 years, playing discovery (if you know, you know), 1985 trivia, and topping it off with video messages from colleagues and clients, both past and present. It was the evening Mark deserved and one of the best times we've had together as a team. Here's to another 40? Let's see...!

On 2nd September 1985 Mark Manley began his legal career. Now, 40 years later he is not only Managing Director of his very own firm, a successful Mediator (1041 cases and counting!), and a Deputy District Judge, he is also a wonderful mentor, employer and friend. Today we celebrate you Mark, all of your achievements and the many more than are to come. Congratulations from your team 🥂🍾

A brilliant weekend in Berlin with the team! Combining strategic reflection and planning for 2025/26 together with some memorable team experiences. Amidst the conference, our busy weekend included a sunset boat cruise, an incredible lunch on top of the Reichstag building, a 3 hour e-bike tour of the city as well an evening full of arcade games and team building. It was the perfect mix of productivity and fun. We're all back in the office this morning feeling energised and excited for the year ahead!

Merry Manleys 🎄 🥂 the team took to Liverpool on Friday night for dinner and a very competitive round of darts in the brand new Flight Club (did you expect anything less from our team?) We had such a great evening getting out of the office and enjoying some time together in the build up to Christmas.

Yesterday Manleys Solicitors worked from Chester Zoo! We embarked on our first ever 'Away Day' as a firm. This was something that stemmed from our staff conference in Copenhagen back in September. We realised we needed more time than the conference allowed to focus on certain topics in detail. The Zoo was a great venue for us all coming together and concentrating on those topics which will allow us to maximise the work we do back in the office. There was of course the usual competitive team building segment by way of a scavenger hunt enabling us to enjoy time around the zoo (albeit frantically running around to finish first and secure very important bragging rights) and we even bumped into the CEO on our travels. It was such a valuable day and certainly one we'll be sure to repeat.

We are all delighted with the new addition to our client roster this week. Having recently moved to Chester, local firm Manleys was a natural choice when seeking legal advice. So far we have conducted many lunch meetings over marmalade sandwiches. Any guesses who it could be?!
