Just to add to my earlier post, it's no good having accredited journalists/bloggers being granted permission to attend family court for two reasons: 1) most journalists/bloggers aren't interested in first instance (county court level rather than appeal court) proceedings and that's where the damage is usually done and 2) judges can block those journalists/bloggers from attending for their own self-serving reasons - if a case concerns complaints about their friends on the local council for example. Furthermore, only a handful of cases get to appeal and appeals are usually only open to wealthy people or the few that are fortunate enough to have a decent (often legal aid) advocate who prioritises their client's interest over offending the court

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-66531409 - wonder what's really behind this? It's so blatantly obvious that children refusing contact with an abusive parent (proven domestic abuse) do it for reasons other than parental alienation. We're never going to know more about the factors underlying these women's trauma and deaths because most family courts and their processes are still shrouded in secrecy. Reforms are taking too long and grossly inadequate

One death came after family courts ordered a child to live with a pa******le, a BBC investigation finds.
