The American journalist Austin Tice, who was detained by the regime seven years ago, is being held by the people of the town of Al-Diyabiyah in the countryside of Daraa. Anyone who knows him should contact these people so that he can be handed over to his family.

Thank you from the heart to everyone who contributed to the donation, sorting and assistance for those people who were affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.
Thank you to those who organized this event for the sake of humanity and sympathy. Thank you to Gloucestershire County Council, especially Cheltenham. Thank you to the Welcome Refugee for their continuous support.

Our Syrian Refugee Community are anxious to take items that are in great need to places in Syria that have been affected by the earthquake.

on Sunday afternoon to receive donations and for a van to be loaded on Monday.

On Sunday afternoon members of our Syrian refugee community will be packing donations to be sent to places in Syria that have been affected by the earthquake.

There is a great need for:
Sleeping bags, gloves, woolly hats, nappies for children, milk for babies and hand torches.

Ibuprofen, paracetamol, cough medicine, plasters. Bandages.

Tinned food to include
Tuna, sardines, chickpeas, beans.

If you can donate any of these please bring them to St. Thomas More Church on Sunday afternoon between 2-5 pm.

If anyone can give a helping hand on Sunday afternoon that will be appreciated as well, depending on how much help is needed at the time.

إن مجتمع اللاجئين السوريين لدينا حريص على نقل المواد التي هي بأمس الحاجة إليها إلى الأماكن التي تضررت من الزلزال في سوريا.

تم اتخاذ الترتيبات لاستخدام كنيسة سانت توماس مور ، الأميرة إليزابيث واي ، GL51 7RA ، بعد ظهر يوم الأحد لتلقي التبرعات وشاحنة سيتم تحميلها يوم الاثنين.

بعد ظهر يوم الأحد ، سيقوم أعضاء من مجتمعنا من اللاجئين السوريين بتعبئة التبرعات لإرسالها إلى أماكن في سوريا تضررت من الزلزال.

هناك حاجة ماسة إلى:
أكياس نوم ، قفازات ، قبعات من الصوف ، حفاضات للأطفال ، حليب للأطفال ومصابيح يدوية.

ايبوبروفين ، باراسيتامول ، أدوية السعال ، اللصقات. الضمادات.

الأطعمة المعلبة لتشمل
تونة ، سردين ، حمص ، فاصوليا.

إذا كنت قادرًا على التبرع بأي من هذه الأشياء ، فيرجى إحضارها إلى كنيسة سانت توماس مور بعد ظهر يوم الأحد بين الساعة 2-5 مساءً.

إذا كان بإمكان أي شخص تقديم يد المساعدة بعد ظهر يوم الأحد ، فسيكون ذلك موضع تقدير أيضًا ، اعتمادًا على مقدار المساعدة المطلوبة في ذلك الوقت.

IMPORTANT & VERY URGENT

There is a stricken and forgotten geographical area called northwest Syria!

The area is devastated, and it is already densely populated. Thousands of buildings have been destroyed over the heads of its residents. Most of those houses were built during the war without the lowest standards of safety and earthquake prevention. They were built as a substitute for tents, but today they have become large graves.

Since the first moments of the devastating earthquake, we hear and see statements from world leaders talking about their readiness/starting to send support to the stricken area, but so far no such aid has entered northwest Syria!

Perhaps they think that only delivering aid to Turkey is enough, they must be well aware that Turkey today is almost incapable of reaching all the stricken buildings due to the large scale of the disaster, so how will they reach / care for those who live in a neighboring country?

The international community and everyone who wishes to send aid to the afflicted region must allocate a fair share of that aid to the forgotten region. It is subject to the control of Turkey, and Turkey today is preoccupied with saving its people and the afflicted who live in the afflicted regions.

Aid must enter by air and land into northwestern Syria as soon as possible. The opportunity is lost for those trapped under the rubble and for those who spent last night outside in the cold and snow.

هناك منطقة جغرافية منكوبة ومنسية تسمى شمال غرب سوريا!
المنطقة مدمرة ، وهي بالفعل مكتظة بالسكان. وقد دمرت آلاف المباني فوق رؤوس سكانها. تم بناء معظم هذه المنازل خلال الحرب دون أدنى معايير الأمان والوقاية من الزلازل. تم بناؤها كبديل للخيام ، لكنها أصبحت اليوم قبوراً كبيرة.

منذ اللحظات الأولى من وقوع الزلزال المدمر ونسمع ونشاهد تصريحات من قادة العالم يتحدثون عن استعدادهم/ بدأهم إرسال الدعم للمنطقة المنكوبة، لكن حتى الآن لم يدخل إلى شمال غرب سوريا أي شيء من تلك المساعدات!

ربما يعتقدون أن ايصال المساعدات لتركيا فقط امر كافي، يجب عليهم أن يعوا جيدا أن تركيا اليوم شبه عاجزة عن الوصول إلى جميع المباني المنكوبة بسبب حجم الكارثة الكبير، فكيف سيصلون/يهتمون بمن يعيشون في دولة مجاورة؟

يجب على المجتمع الدولي وكل من يرغب في إرسال مساعدات للمنطقة المنكوبة تخصيص حصة عادلة من تلك المساعدات للمنطقة المنسية. وهي خاضعة لسيطرة تركيا ، وتركيا اليوم منشغلة بإنقاذ شعبها والمنكوبين الذين يعيشون في المناطق المنكوبة.

يجب أن تدخل المساعدات جواً وبراً إلى شمال غرب سوريا في أسرع وقت ممكن. الفرصة ضائعة لأولئك المحاصرين تحت الأنقاض وأولئك الذين قضوا الليلة الماضية في الخارج في البرد والثلج.
