Following our merger with Gaynham King & Mellor Solicitors earlier this year, this latest milestone marks another exciting chapter for the firm. Congratulations to Adam Khan on being awarded this year's Bendles Dissertation Prize 👏🎓

The award is presented annually by the University of Cumbria to the law student who achieves the highest mark in their dissertation module, recognising outstanding academic achievement and dedication. Adam's success is thoroughly deserved, and we're proud to support an award that celebrates the next generation of legal professionals.

Adam said: “It feels amazing to receive the award and I’m genuinely honoured. Writing the dissertation was a very intensive process, with the research alone taking several months. Winning this award makes all the hard work worthwhile."

Our trainee solicitor, Holly Cantley (pictured centre), took part in the Cumbria Junior Lawyers Legal Walk in Keswick at the weekend alongside Kate Sparkes-McSevich, Treasurer of Cumbria Junior Lawyers (left), and Kim Biott, who attended as the event's first aider (right) 👏

The walk brings together legal professionals from across the county to raise funds for the Access to Justice Foundation, a charity dedicated to increasing access to free legal advice and representation for those who might otherwise struggle to get the support they need.

Holly said: "It was a fantastic day and great to see so many people from across the legal profession come together to support such an important cause, while taking in the beautiful scenery along the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Path."

What a fantastic day at Cockermouth Show 👏☀️

It was great to welcome so many visitors to the Bendles stand, catch up with familiar faces and enjoy a great day all round.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the draw for the hamper and to all donations made on the day. All money raised will go to Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, which provides care to people living with life-limiting illnesses in the comfort of their own homes, while also supporting their families through difficult times.
