Celebrating success 👏

Sophie Ingledow has recently qualified as a solicitor at Bendles, a fantastic milestone in her legal career and a great example of what can be achieved when talent is supported.

After studying law at A level and university, Sophie was keen to put her degree into practice with a firm where she could learn and develop. She joined Bendles as a legal administrator, progressed through her training contract, and is now part of our family law team, supporting clients through some of life’s most difficult moments.

We were delighted to be invited to the University of Cumbria annual law conference, where Hannah Smith, Partner at Bendles Solicitors, gave students an insight into what day‑to‑day life looks like as a family law solicitor.

🏈 Proud to support local sport in Carlisle and beyond

We’re delighted to announce a landmark five-year sponsorship agreement with Carlisle‑based flag American football team Border City Centurions American Football, which will see Bendles Solicitors featured on the club’s official game jerseys through to 2031.

The partnership comes as the Centurions prepare for the new season following their promotion to the National Flag Football League (NFFL) Premiership.

As a long‑established Cumbrian firm, supporting initiatives that promote teamwork, confidence and community participation is extremely important to us. Border City Centurions provide opportunities for players of all ages across Cumbria and the south of Scotland - from grassroots and youth development through to competing at national level.

With flag football set to make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games, this is an exciting time for the sport and we’re proud to be backing a local club that’s growing quickly and making such a positive impact.

We look forward to supporting the Centurions as they continue their journey this season and beyond. 💪

We enjoyed a lovely evening at The Andalusian in Carlisle as we said goodbye to three fantastic members of the Bendles team 💐

With a combined 65 years of service, Jude Keir, Caroline Taylor and Tracy Stevenson have each made a significant contribution to the firm and to the many clients they’ve supported over the years.

Their long-standing careers with Bendles reflect the supportive culture and strong team values we’re so proud of 👏

We’re proud to be supporting Make a Will month again this April, continuing our long-standing involvement in a campaign we’ve backed for nearly 20 years.

Through the initiative, members of the public can have a standard will prepared by a solicitor in exchange for a donation, helping to support the vital work of Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice.

Making a Will is an important step in protecting loved ones and this campaign also helps ensure that these local charities can continue to provide essential care and support to families across our community 🫂
