A little late in the day, but SM has just reminded us that today marks the 9th of our MD Katy Hanson taking the reins at Welch & Co!

In that time we’ve seen the business grow to a Team of almost 30, opening 5 new premises across West Wales, significantly expanding our Practise areas and service offerings, our MD being twice shortlisted as the LAPG legal aid lawyer of the year and now sitting as Chair of the Criminal Law Solicitors Association. Our firm becoming the highest performing firm in Wales the West and the Cotswolds with our partners in (over £2.8m secured in lifesaving legacies through their Will writing scheme), significant legal press and media attention, as well as many other accolades along the way… we owe it all to the hard work of the ever briliant Team, and to our Clients old and new!

We feel incredibly proud and grateful… As we forge ahead into our 10th year with further growth and prosperity planned, and with several more new starters soon to be announced, the Senior Management Team wish to Thank you all! Diolch yn fawr i chi gyd!!

….seems a good time to begin planning a decade marking Celebration!

Criminal law practitioner groups have united to declare war on the government’s plans to curb jury trials…

“CLSA chair Katy Hanson highlighted the importance that justice is seen to be done and said defendants will feel they got a fair hearing if their case is heard by people from their community. Hanson fears the government will try to introduce the reforms quickly ‘because they are aware of the feeling against it.”
