International Criminal Court Student Network - University of Cambridge The ICCSN serves as a forum for discussion and information dissemination on these issues.

The International Criminal Court Student Network (ICCSN) is an international network that brings together students interested in the ICC, the philosophy and history of international criminal justice, and the connection of international criminal justice to general international law. The ICCSN was founded with the firm conviction that students are the future, and that it is only when students and yo

uth, and policy makers are united in their knowledge and support of the ICC, that the humanitarian norms undergirding the growth of international law continue to develop the institutions and practices that bring these norms to life. There has never been a more opportune time for youth around the world to engage in a serious, informed discussion about the future of international justice. We believe strongly that students are the future - and it is our duty as students to be engaged, learn, debate, challenge, and support the movement towards international justice.

This year the ICCSN hosted the Cambridge International Law moot on 27 February which culminated in the first ever ICCSN Varsity Final competition against Oxford University on 5 March. The quality of mooting on display was extremely high and it was only by a narrow margin that the Cambridge team emerged victorious. Thank you to everyone who took part!

Dear all,

For those interested, we are hosting a moot competition within the university!

The first moot will take place Saturday, February 27 from 9am-5pm at the Faculty of Law (Rooms G11, G28, G24).

***The winner of the Cambridge final will be awarded the opportunity to compete against the winning team from Oxford University's chapter of the ICCSN on Saturday, March 5***

The moot will consist of two preliminary rounds and one final round (further detail and instructions will be emailed to those interested).

Students can submit teams of 2-4 people (not all of whom need take part in the oral presentation of the argument).

Please note that the competition is open to all levels of experience; whether you’re a seasoned public speaker, or have never participated in a moot before, we definitely encourage you to apply.

If you're interested, have questions, or want to submit a team, please email Jen Wardley, the head of the moot court committee, at [email protected] before midnight on January 31st. Emails should include the names and CRSid of each person in the group if indeed you are submitting a team.

We look forward to hearing from you!
