Congratulations to Ella Woodier, Annabel Jones, Emily Scott, Laura Clarke and Lorrain Saquilayan who have all completed their Training Contracts and qualified as Solicitors! 👏

Qualifying as a Solicitor is a huge career milestone and the culmination of years of study, training and hard work. We are delighted to be celebrating this achievement with all five of them.

Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing a little more about their individual journeys to qualification and what comes next for each of them. We are looking forward to seeing how their careers continue to develop with the Firm.

We are looking forward to another fantastic day at this year’s 100th Cheshire Ploughing & Hedge Cutting Society Match, celebrating farming traditions and catching up with those across the agricultural community.🌾🚜

You will find us on Pitch J4, where we will be joining our friends at Meller Speakman and bennettbrooks .

If you are attending, come and say hello. Whether there is a farming or rural business matter you would like to discuss or you simply fancy a catch-up over a coffee, we would be very pleased to see you.

When a commercial lease comes with unexpected obstacles and delays, having someone who keeps you informed and remains calm and responsive can make the process much easier.

This fantastic feedback recognises Commercial Property specialist Tom Jones whose approach helped his client feel reassured and confident throughout. It is particularly good to hear that, following this experience, J Collinge has since chosen to work with us again on other matters.

Well done Tom! 👏

Starting a new role or taking the next step in your career can feel daunting. Having the right training and people around you can make a real difference.

We asked members of our team about the training and support they have received at Butcher & Barlow.

There were no rehearsed lines or suggested responses. Here is what they told us about their own experiences at Butcher & Barlow.

Buying your first home is exciting, but it can also come with plenty of questions along the way. Clear communication and regular updates can make the experience a positive one from start to finish.

We were delighted to receive this feedback for Residential Property specialist Amanda O’Hare, alongside assistants Freya and Megan, who kept their client informed and supported right through to getting the keys to their first home. 🏡🔑

Thank you to S Taylor for taking the time to share your experience and well done to Amanda, Freya and Megan!

What is it really like to work at Butcher & Barlow?

Rather than answering that ourselves, we asked our team.

Nothing was scripted. These are their honest answers, in their own words.

If the contents of a loved one’s Will come as a surprise, it can leave you with questions about how it was made and whether it reflects their wishes.

An unexpected Will does not automatically mean that something is wrong, but there are situations where it may be worth getting advice.

In our latest blog, Wills, Trusts & Estates specialist Sam Dale looks at some of the reasons a Will may be challenged and the evidence that can be important.
