And just like that, May half term is nearly over.

For lots of working parents, it has probably been a week of juggling. A bit of work, a bit of childcare, a few emails in between, and trying to enjoy some family time along the way.

School holidays are lovely, but they do have a way of showing how hard it can be to make everything fit, especially if you are working in a traditional law firm where flexibility is not always easy.

That is one of the reasons consultancy can be such a refreshing option for lawyers.

At Cognitive Law, our consultants have the freedom to work in a way that suits them, their clients and their lives. That might mean working from home, shifting their hours, taking time out when they need to, or simply having more say over how their week looks.

So, if half term has made you think “there must be another way”, consultancy could be worth exploring.

May half term is here and for many parents, that means the juggling act begins 🤹

School holidays can be lovely, but they can also be stressful when you are trying to balance client work, deadlines, childcare and the pressure of being present at work.

For lawyers working in a consultancy model, things can look very different.

At Cognitive Law, our consultants have the freedom to work in a way that suits them, their clients and their lives. That might mean adjusting working hours during the school holidays, working from home, taking time out when it matters, or simply having more control over how the week is structured.

There is no need to fight for time off in the school holidays or feel guilty for needing flexibility.

Consultancy is not about working less. It is about working differently - with more autonomy, more trust and more choice.

So, if half term has reminded you that you would like a legal career that fits better around real life, consultancy could be worth exploring.
