“I’ve been asked to be a child’s Special Guardian… what does that mean?”

If you’ve been approached about becoming a Special Guardian, it can feel like a big responsibility. An SGO gives you parental responsibility and puts you in charge of important decisions about a child’s daily life, schooling and wellbeing, while the parents still keep a limited role.
