It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of Alan Stirling Bridger, a valued and highly respected solicitor at Proctor & Hobbs Solicitors. Alan sadly passed away this morning.

Alan had a remarkable career, starting in acting before transitioning to law in 1982. He was one of the first solicitors in England to be awarded Higher Rights of Audience, allowing him to represent clients in Crown Court trials. Known for his unwavering dedication to social justice and equality, Alan built a strong reputation within the courts, particularly for his work on civil liberties and high-profile cases involving activists.

His charismatic presence, hard work, and commitment to fairness left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. Alan’s legacy of dedication and service will be deeply missed by all of us at Proctor & Hobbs Solicitors.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

On Thursday, 27th April, the annual Mock Trial Competition 2023 Awards Ceremony was held at the University Of Bradford. Following a set of hotly contested trials spanning over 3 days, it all went down to the wire, and following a very intense week of voting, the winner was crowned.

Young and enthusiastic student David Eke was the best of the rest and was gifted his very own smart car. In our eyes, everyone who made it this far was a winner, and there are never any losers. Once again, congratulations to all who took part. Take a look at some snapshots from the ceremony below, and feel free to tag and share with your friends and family.

Congratulations to David as he walked (or shall we say drove) away as the winner of the Mock Trial Challenge. It was a tough choice to narrow it down to one winner as every contestant gave it their all. But following careful deliberation, David was announced the winner.

We would like to once again thank and congratulate all those who entered and took part in this year's challenge.

Stay tuned for more photos.
