Major changes to a bathroom in Fleet…..

Customers tired bathroom needed a major revamp and she wanted a few changes made.

Out went the electric shower and replaced with a shower pump. Bath swung around 90 degrees to open up and enlarge the new low profile shower cubicle. Which was to be tiled with pink subway tiles in a herringbone pattern. And the radiator moved to the other side of the room and replaced with a tall towel rad.

The built in units were all upgraded, floor tiled and in-line extractor fan installed.

Customer really happy with end result 👍

Hope you enjoy the ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos.

**I have just one slot left in May and then stopping for summer to focus on our motorhome business busy period. Next availability after that won’t be until September.**

Please contact me if you would like a free no obligation quote.

Thanks, Nigel.

Hi everyone. A long time since I posted a completed bathroom as I took 4 months ‘off’ over summer to concentrate on our motorhome hire business, which was very busy! Which on a side note is already getting lots of bookings for summer 26 so if you are interested in hiring either our 4 berth or 6 berth motorhome then please take a look now:

https://www.goexploremotorhome-hire.co.uk/

So….. this is a bathroom I completed in Charvil recently. The customers were very ready for a upgrade and reconfiguration due to the bath being tucked under an eave resulting in there not being enough room for a showering area. The wall causing this issue was non-load bearing so could be removed and rebuilt further back. The end result was a major improvement and they could now have a shower in there. Which means the kids no longer have to use the parents en-suite!! 😊

A concealed Crosswater shower system was fitted with an overhead rainfall head and a handheld wand type also. Additionally 2 x Schluter built-in shelves were fitted between the grout lines. A relatively new innovation which keeps it minimalistic and very practical and modern looking.

The toilet area was also massively improved by fitting a very nice built in toilet unit with a concealed cistern and lots of cupboard space either side.

Again, the sloped ceiling above the sink caused issue by not having much headroom. I therefore suggested moving the radiator to the opposite wall thereby allowing the sink to be moved more to the right where the ceiling above was higher. Which when completed accomplished that perfectly.

A very modern looking towel radiator and wall mounted toothbrush charger finished that area well.

The floor was tiled and a bath side panel matching the sink and toilet unit then installed.

Customers were super happy with the result and that’s what matters.

Currently booked up until the end of January but waiting to hear back on a couple of quotations I recently did. If you would like me to come and give a no obligation quotation then please message me.

Thanks for looking 👍

The last room in the house!!

So, the customers bought this ex-rental property in Ash, Surrey and have spent some time re-doing it up to an excellent level. The last remaining room was the bathroom, which I was happy to help them with.

The room was very tired looking and the customers were very keen to get it looking good again. The general layout was to remain the same but the customer opted for a modern looking bath with sliding doors on the front panel to give extra storage space behind. Which worked well as it was not a particularly large room.

The new toilet and sink were built into adjoining units to give a seamless look and again great for space saving.

Minimalistic shelves that slot in between the tiles were fitted above the bath and a toothbrush charger fitted in the window recess.

All walls were tiled up to the ceiling and as a result it was necessary to remove all the previous coving and fit new set away from the wall so as to still give a lip at the edge.

A more modern chrome rail type radiator complimented the room and the copper floor mounted pipes were moved to exit behind the radiator and replaced with matching chrome pipes.

Customer was really happy with the end result and that is what if is all about 👍

As per normal attached are the end result photos along with some before and during ones.

A bit of a tricky one…..

So, recently finished this family bathroom in Woodley. The original layout caused the bath to come into the room by about 20cm with a large tiled area between the bath and the window sill. Not only an eye sore but a waste of space for the room and because of the shower an area to collect water. It was caused by the high set soil pipe below the bath which had to be cut and lowered after having diverted the en-suites shower waste under the floor!! But the goal was achieved and the new L shaped bath sat just above the pipe and now flush with the wall. Exactly what the customer wanted to achieve.

The bath was also swapped around so the shower was at the opposite end to before which enabled all the pipework to be hidden inside the new false wall behind. To make good use of space a large toiletry niche with a mirrored back was installed into the false wall.

The false wall was extended half height behind the toilet and sink enabling a concealed cistern to be fitted and a more modern looking back to wall toilet along with a nice wall mounted vanity/sink unit that matched the large storage cupboard by the door.

These were complimented by a large Matt black ladder style radiator. The pipes to which were diverted to come out of the wall with chrome pipe work and matching covers to give it a neat look. The Matt black theme was then carried over to the round LED mirror above the sink.

A nice choice of tiles by the customer really brightened the room compared to before and gave it a very modern and clean look.

Please find attached the finished item photos along with some before and during ones.

Thanks for looking.

Hi all. Just wanted to take the opportunity to promote our motorhome hire business (Go-Explore Motorhome Hire) with the news that we have just ordered a brand new luxury 4 berth motorhome to have in addition to our 6 berth 😁

It’s a Swift Voyager 494 with sleeping arrangements for 4 people consisting of a really nice permanent double island bed at the rear and simple to use pull down double at the front which sits above the lounge/dining area. Fully fitted and equipped kitchen plus toilet/sink/shower in the bathroom. Also has a large awning and outside table, chairs & BBQ and a cycle rack on the rear.

It will be available for hire from May and I am happy to offer 15% off bookings for any of my previous customers. Our 6 berth is already fully booked for all summer months so enquire now about this new one now if you have always fancied a trip away in the UK or Europe. Fully insured and with 24 hour breakdown cover for both options. Loads of nice campsites in the UK and some with nice swimming pools and on site restaurants. But they book up fast!

Or please follow us on our page for maybe a trip away at a later stage either with or without the kids!!!!! 😉

Black & White always go so well together!!!

Just finished this cloakroom in Bracknell. Visited a while ago to take out the toilet and some very ugly (and frankly unnecessary) boxing-in of pipe work so they could get the whole of the downstairs floor re-laid and then returned once done to finish the rip-out and start re-building.

Originally there was a close-coupled toilet in there with exposed pipe work so I suggested building a false wall out in line with the soil pipe housing and having a concealed cistern inside and a nice back to wall toilet.

Customer wanted to keep the wallpaper that was in there, so I tiled up to a natural break in the pattern making it look right.

The customer made an excellent choice of tiles and accessories and thankfully took my advice on having black grout rather than white. Everything went very well together and looks great. Customer really happy with end result.

Forgot to get a photo of the room before I took the toilet out but you can use your imagination 😁

Attached are a few before, during and after photos. Quite a change!!!!!!

Thanks for looking.

Didn’t think I was going to like this one!!!!

Just finished this bathroom in Bracknell and have to be honest and say that I was very dubious about what the end product would look like with 3 different types of tile, plus browns, greens, gold and black…. But it actually really works and I like it a lot.

The original bath/showering area was very impractical with just half height tiles and a handheld shower hose. There was also a lot of ‘boxing in’ to hide the toilet waste pipe because of where the toilet was originally located. So I suggested turning it 90 degrees and building a false wall in-line with the shower wall and having a concealed cistern inside and then a back to wall toilet, which the customers really liked the idea of.

The wall mounted storage unit and vanity unit are very striking and bold and the Matt black sink and towel radiator compliment each other well. The pipes for the radiator were reconfigured to come out of the wall behind and with chrome pipe and covers fitted it looks really neat.

A lot of work with the different tiles and different grouts for each but the end result was definitely worth it. Nice not to be fitting grey for a change which everyone seems to want lately😊

As always, there are photos attached showing the finished article plus some before and during ones.

That’s me done for this year. If you do like my work and would like me to refurbish a room for you, then please be aware that I am fully booked until end of April at the moment which means I have availability for one in May and one in June and then I always take July and August off.

Have a great Christmas and thank you for following me.

Nigel.

A nice freshen up…..

Recently completed this cloakroom in Camberley. Removed the dated close coupled toilet and built a framework wall to house the concealed cistern and also provide a shelf area above. Setting it at the same height as the existing window sill so that the tiles seamlessly wrapped around the shelf area and into the window area.

The room was complimented by the matching vanity unit and radiator. With the vanity unit being wall mounted this meant me removing the existing pipe work and re-routing it within the wall. The radiator pipes were also done in this way to give a much cleaner look than having them come out of the floor.

A modern LED mirror and ceiling lights finished the room well in comparison to what had been there before. All ready for having guests over at Christmas 😁👍

As always, attached are photos of the finished product along with some before and during ones.

Currently half way through my last bathroom of the year before a nice Xmas break!!!! Thanks for looking…..
