What a fantastic evening celebrating Headway’s 18th Anniversary! 🎉

Your authentic, heartfelt speech was truly inspiring and a powerful reminder of why this charity makes such a difference to so many lives.

I had a fantastic morning at the Shout Connect Lytham networking meeting at the Clifton Arms Hotel today.

A huge thank you to Dave Faulkner-Cross from PW Direct Signs & Designs for such an honest, authentic and entertaining presentation about his journey and how he got to where he is today. If you’re looking for a sign for your business Dave is definitely the person to speak to!

The interactive game at the end of the presentation was absolutely brilliant and I won some lovely wine glasses!

It was also great to welcome two new members to the group, Brian Jennings and Daniel Elliott.

Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to another enjoyable morning. Networking is about building relationships, supporting one another and, as today proved, having plenty of laughs along the way.

This week I’ve had the pleasure of having Ameerah, a university student, join me for work experience at Barker Booth & Eastwood.

Over the course of the week, Ameerah has had the opportunity to observe a variety of cases across both Family Law and Personal Injury, gaining an insight into the realities of legal practice and the diverse nature of client work.

It has been great to share knowledge, discuss the practical aspects of the profession, and provide a glimpse into the skills and dedication required to support clients through often challenging circumstances.

Supporting aspiring legal professionals is something I am passionate about, and I hope this experience has been both informative and inspiring for Ameerah as she continues her studies and considers her future career path.

I wish her every success for the future and thank her for her enthusiasm and engagement throughout the week.

A great day at Resolution Lancashire and Cumbria’s Annual Summer Conference at Barton Manor Hotel & Spa.

There was an excellent line-up of speakers covering a wide range of family law topics, making for an informative and engaging event.

A particular highlight was hearing Stacey Copeland share her journey from a sports-mad child to becoming a professional boxer and footballer. Her honest reflections on the challenges she faced, together with her remarkable achievements, were truly inspiring.

It was also wonderful to see Emily Murray step into her new role as YRes Chair for the region. I am incredibly proud of everything Emily continues to achieve and have no doubt she will be a fantastic Chair.

Many thanks to the Committee for all their hard work in organising such a successful event.

Days like these are a reminder of the strength of our family law community and the shared commitment to supporting families and improving practice across our profession.

Fantastic to spend time with our marketing team from Consortium More Than Marketing.

Yesterday’s catch-up at Blackpool Pleasure Beach was the perfect setting before getting down to business with our six-month review meeting this morning.

A great opportunity to celebrate what’s been achieved so far and look ahead to some exciting plans for the future.

Fantastic evening at Coastal Radio DAB Local Business Awards on Friday at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

It was a pleasure to sponsor and present the Best Business Award (Over 10 Employees), which was very deservedly won by Partington’s Holiday Parks.

After an incredible 30-year journey with Barker Booth & Eastwood, we say thank you and farewell to Darren, on his retirement.

Darren has been a cornerstone of the firm for three decades, leading our Personal Injury Department with dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to clients. His expertise, leadership, and guidance have not only shaped the department but have also made a lasting impact on the firm as a whole.
