A match day recap from our team Captain, Tom Griffin: “The whole team were excellent throughout, with a special shoutout to Faisal who managed to score 6 goals for us on the day including an audacious goal from the half-way line straight from kickoff. But the hero of the day will probably have the go to John Stigwood. With the Fairview team looking to shoot in our game, John put his body on the line reminiscent of John Terry’s infamous salmon leap in the 2010 World Cup. The ball struck him in the face, breaking his glasses in half and causing a couple of cuts to his face. But John, channelling his inner Terry Butcher, got up and insisted he was fine to continue.
We have plenty to be proud of, and the experience can be used as fuel to motivate us to go further come next year!” ⚽️
