We are looking for an experienced criminal law secretary to join our growing team based at our Darlington office.

Duties will include:

- Comprehensive secretarial support to our Criminal Law Solicitors.
- Audio typing to cover correspondence, file notes, statements and other legal documents.
- Inputting key dates into our crime diary and organising conferences and appointments.
- Using our case management system
- Preparing bills
- Dealing with client queries and liaising with police, CPS and respective Courts and other relevant professional bodies.
- Providing occasional reception cover.

In order to be considered for this role it is essential that you should have experience as a secretary in criminal law, excellent IT skills, high typing speeds, an ability to adapt to new systems and that you are able to manage and prioritise your workloads.

Legal Secretary – Conveyancing Department

Salary – Competitive

Job Type: Permanent

We are looking to recruit a full time conveyancing secretary at our Sedgefield office.

The role will involve:
Audio typing, dealing with clients face to face and over the telephone, organising diaries, using the Land Registry Portal, preparing legal documents and dealing with third parties. A lot of work will be carried out on our fully electronic case management system (training to be provided)
The successful candidate will need:
Excellent typing skills
Knowledge or experience of residential conveyancing
Confident telephone manner
Be able to prioritise a busy workload

Salary – Competitive

Holidays - 25 days plus an additional day for the applicant’s birthday, bank holidays and no requirement to hold back holiday days when the office is closed over the Christmas period.
