Introducing mediation within Fitness to Practise frameworks
We’re pleased to be supporting the BASRaT with the introduction of mediation as part of its Fitness to Practise (FtP) framework.
This appointment reflects a growing recognition across healthcare regulation of the value of early, proportionate and resolution-focused approaches to managing concerns.
By offering a voluntary and confidential mediation pathway, regulators can:
• Explore concerns constructively at an early stage
• Support improved communication and understanding
• Resolve appropriate cases outside formal FtP proceedings
Our role at Nockolds Resolution is to deliver an independent, impartial process that complements existing regulatory frameworks while maintaining public confidence and professional standards.
We look forward to working with regulators seeking to strengthen fair, effective, and proportionate regulation.
