We wish to announce that Nick Brown is leaving us on 10th May. Nick was one of the founding Partners alongside Keith and Brenda, when we first set up the firm in 2006, and became a Director when we formed the Limited Company in 2008.
Whilst Nick was supremely proficient in all aspects of commercial litigation, he developed a particular niche in construction dispute matters, which often throw up some of the most difficult issues. Nick dealt with problematic cases with a combination of knowledge of the law, pragmatism and a mix of Yorkshire grit, and is very well thought of by his colleagues and clients alike. One of the many testimonials received for Nick from his clients was as follows:
“Nick from KJP is a credit to his profession. He brings a pragmatic approach to his advice and (unlike our dealing with other firms) we have never had a feeling that Nick was ever drawing out conversations/advice for the sake of increasing billable hours. Certainly, one of the most business-focused solicitor we have ever dealt with – which was a huge help in understanding the best route forward for our business. Would certainly recommend his services”.
Nick is hoping to spend more time undertaking his dare devil activities, which include rock diving, wild water swimming and kayaking.
All of us at The Keith Jones Partnership will miss Nick enormously and we take this opportunity to wish him a very long, healthy and happy retirement and the best of luck in his adventures!
