We are a proud member of PDA - The mark of quality decorating's Paint Green sustainability initiative whereby we have pledged to:

♻️ Continue recycling 100% of our paint containers through our existing recycling schemes in partnership with our paint suppliers.
🌱 Re-use surplus paint on other local contracts where possible.
💚 Recycle all excess paint or work alongside local community groups and projects to utilise surplus paint as part of our Social Value commitments.

This dovetails into our 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 programme; we never send waste paint or containers to landfill, avoiding contamination of soil and water sources. A key element of our sustainability strategy, this is recorded and monitored through our Green Card returns submitted to the PDA annually.

We have successfully renewed our Once For All Principal Contractor accreditation for the next 12 months. 🦺👷🏻‍♂️

A Safety Schemes in Procurement Ltd - SSIP member, this accreditation gives our customers complete confidence in our capabilities and competence, with assessment undertaken against the CDM 2015 and SSIP core criteria.

We were asked by our client Newcastle City Council to help them with a complaint they had received from a resident. A repair had been carried out by a previous contractor to the render on the wall at the property, but had not been painted to blend in and as such looked unsightly.

We agreed to carry out the painting of the wall as part of our Estate Improvement works for the Council. It is a vast improvement as you can see from the before and afters, and the resident was delighted with the result.

We have recently carried out internal and external decoration and associated repairs to thirteen three-storey blocks located within The Barnstaple Estate in Harold Hill, on behalf of Havering Council.

The estate is governed by the BETRA Tenant Management Organisation (TMO), formed to give back some power to residents, working together with Havering Council and across the community to improve the neighbourhood and the lives of BETRA’s residents.

Following completion of the planned works, it was picked up by the TMO that the communal surrounding area metal railings, benches, lampposts, planters and bin shed doors were in poor condition.

As part of our Social Value commitment, we offered to redecorate all external communal areas free-of-charge, as well as carrying out repair works to the bin shed door timbers, giving the area a much-needed refresh and complementing the planned decoration works already completed.

The BETRA TMO Estate Manger commented:

St Mary’s Lighthouse – one of our flagship decoration projects from 2024 – has been named as 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝’𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 by TripAdvisor.

St Mary’s Lighthouse is a beloved landmark in Tyne & Wear situated on St Mary’s Island, just north of Whitley Bay, that dates back nearly 130 years. We carried out external cleaning, repairs, replacements and full decoration works to the Grade II listed lighthouse and its surrounding buildings on behalf of North Tyneside Council, including the lighthouse tower, keepers' cottages, visitor centre, and bird watching hut.

This was an incredibly rewarding project to be a part of. The lighthouse still looks absolutely fantastic today and we’re thrilled that the public are able to enjoy the lighthouse now it has been restored back to its former glory and preserved for future generations.

The project was also the ‘Winner’ of the Industrial category at the Painting and Decorating Association’s Premier Trophy Awards 2025 – an accolade we are very proud of.

Our Operations Manager, Niall Brennan and Resident Liaison Officer, Lisa Dean from our London Branch recently hosted a coffee morning with residents and staff at AsterGroup's Philip House - a sheltered housing scheme situated in Maida Vale. ☕

With us about to commence communal internal and external decoration works at the scheme, this event was a great opportunity to introduce ourselves, provide detailed information on the works and timescales, and answer any questions from residents and staff.

At Trident, we believe that early and thorough communication is key as we carry out scheme improvement works, ensuring all fully understand what is taking place, when and why, whilst minimising resident disruption and ensuring an efficient, high-quality service provision.

We took a phone call at Head Office last week from a Bernicia Group tenant who called to tell us how pleased she was with the external decoration and fencing repairs carried out at her property in Roseden Court, Newcastle.

It's always great to see our efforts being recognised by our clients' tenants, and this is exactly the standard we at Trident expect. Credit to the team involved in the project for representing Trident so well on site with both the quality of the job and their professionalism. 👏
