Posted • An insight into yesterday's session at the One Stop Shop at Training for Women Network (TWN) in East Belfast.

One Stop Shop at TWN runs every second Wednesday morning from 10am-12pm. This is a free multi-agency drop-in service providing free, immediate and confidential access to legal, benefits, safety and housing advice, plus Women’s Aid services.

The next session at TWN in East Belfast will run on Wednesday 26th June.

If you are experiencing physical, emotional, sexual, financial abuse or coercive control, this drop-in service will provide you with a range of 1:1 support and information about your rights and entitlements.

I am so proud to be a part of this new advice centre. The South Belfast advice centre remains open on Fridays and this new service in East Belfast will help more women access free advice in a safe and welcoming environment.

The court accepted that the husband sought to frustrate the sale of the matrimonial home and that he was “behaving in this way deliberately to harass” the wife. A Co Down solicitor ended up in custody because of a stubborn refusal to obey an order to leave his former matrimonial home, the Court of Appeal has ruled.
