The Vulnerable Person Practitioner Course, offered by The Law Society of Northern Ireland, was designed to equip legal professionals with the specialised knowledge and skills to effectively work with clients who may be vulnerable due to various factors. The course focused on training Solicitors in working with children, individuals with autism, mental health issues, learning difficulties, and other disabilities that may affect communication.

Kathryn Mullan successfully completed this course signifying our commitment to working with vulnerable clients and demonstrating specialised expertise and allowing us to provide better services to vulnerable individuals, ensuring access to justice and efficient case management.

Women’s Aid One Stop Shop

If you or a friend are the victim of domestic abuse, the women’s aid one stop shop is here to help. Our Solicitor Kathryn Mullan is providing confidential legal advice in Women’s Aid South Belfast today and no appointment is necessary, simply pop in. Representatives from Housing NI, Universal Credit and PSNI are also in attendance this morning to provide help and assistance.

Having read this article and heard the recent statistics in relation to the callous, violent murder of these women in our society, we are horrified and lost for words

Many women shy away or are too scared to seek legal help for a multitude of reasons. Amongst them is the cost of seeking help or protection, either a fear of an enormous financial cost or out of a fear of their abuser finding out through bank statements etc.

Family Lawyers can help with these costs by way of legal aid 'Domestic Violence Waivers.'

Put simply it means that any person in fear of their partner, spouse or family member can get assistance with their legal fees if they need to seek protection.

It doesn’t matter if you work full time, don’t have access to benefits or if you earn more than the average. Each person is entitled to the help.
