A couple of months ago, we shared that our Partner, Janine Heil, had volunteered at the Winter Night Shelter run by Wycombe Homeless Connection.
This week, we received a letter from the team. It was a simple but powerful reminder of why this work matters.
One guest had been thinking about building a shelter in the woods before finding the night shelter. He now has a job, a safe home, and is starting to look ahead.
Another guest, in his late 70s, shared that without the shelter he would have been sleeping on the streets or travelling through the night on buses and trains. Instead, he found care, support, and dignity.
A safe place to stay can change everything. It gives people the space to recover and begin to move forward again.
We are incredibly proud of Janine, and grateful to be able to support Wycombe Homeless Connection and the work they do.
