Liddy's Solicitors Ltd

Liddy's Solicitors Ltd Barnsley & Wakefield Solicitors Specialising In Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence & Conveyancing! No win no fee means exactly that.
(1)

Liddy’s Solicitors offer high-quality personal injury, clinical negligence and conveyancing services from offices in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and Barnsley, South Yorkshire. It’s hard to put down into words what makes Liddy’s different than other firms. I have lived and breathed Liddy’s for over 15 years, and because of this closeness the evolution has passed undetected. But when I sit back and re

flect I can see a few key points that sets us apart.

1. We don’t hide behind paper work: we are open, honest and clear. As long as the client has co-operated in your own case there is absolutely no legal cost. If we win then the maximum we will take from your damages is 25%. We could take less, but never more. In conveyancing the costs are always laid out in a clear and unambiguous manner from the start.
2. We only use solicitors, and each solicitor sticks to their discipline. By doing so each case gives a solicitor a deeper and deeper knowledge of their chosen field, which enables them to aid the next client even better than the last.
3. We don’t rely on case management software which forces us to take the same route for every client. Every single claim and case is different and if you treat them all the same then you will under-settle or lose a lot of them. In the case of personal injury and medical negligence every case is individual and has to be treated as such. They also require a personal touch, which is something that is lost in a larger firm.
4. It may sound trite, but we care about the client, not just the case. Not only do we focus on getting a client damages, but we also focus on getting them better. When someone is suffering they don’t care about the money, they just want to get better. Or access to help that will ease their pain. Whilst a case is still open we can get the defendant to pay for any extra care that is needed. We offer no-nonsense, practical advice and assistance to our clients. Working on a No-Win-No-Fee basis on Personal Injury and Employment Law cases, and offering unbeatable value on Conveyancing matters, Liddy's Solicitors are here to ensure you reach your desired goals. Based in the centres of Wakefield and Barnsley, Liddy's Solictors is easy to find, pop in or call to arrange a friendly consultation. - Kevin Liddy, Senior Partner.

💚 More Than Care — Meaningful Days, Real Connections & Positive Outcomes 💚

At The Old Courthouse Day Centre, we believe care should be about much more than simply meeting someone’s basic needs.

It should be about Living well, feeling valued, staying connected and having something to look forward to.

For many older people and adults with care and support needs, attending a day centre can have an incredibly positive impact on their well-being, confidence and quality of life.

🌟 What are some of the positive outcomes we see?

💚 Reduced loneliness and social isolation
💚 New friendships and meaningful relationships
💚 Improved confidence and self-esteem
💚 Greater independence and choice
💚 Regular routine and structure
💚 Mental stimulation and cognitive engagement
💚 Increased physical activity and movement
💚 Opportunities to learn, create, laugh and try new things
💚 A sense of purpose and belonging
💚 Improved mood and emotional wellbeing
💚 Support to remain living independently at home for longer
💚 Valuable respite and reassurance for families and carers

Our members don't simply come to us to be “looked after”.
They come to socialise, laugh, join in, make friends, enjoy activities, eat together and be part of a community.

🏡 How is day care different from care at home?
Domiciliary care is extremely important for people who need support with things such as washing, dressing, medication and meals at home.
However, visits can sometimes be relatively short and focused mainly on completing essential care tasks.
A day at The Old Courthouse provides something different.
People spend the day surrounded by others, taking part in activities, enjoying conversation, having meals together and receiving support from a familiar team who get to know them as individuals.
Instead of somebody spending much of the day alone between care visits, day care can provide hours of companionship, stimulation and meaningful engagement.

🏠 And what about residential care?
For some people, a care home is absolutely the right choice when they require continuous support.
But many people want to remain living in their own home for as long as possible.
Day services can help make this achievable.
By providing regular support during the week, meaningful activity and valuable respite for family carers, day care can form an important part of helping somebody remain safely and happily at home for longer.

💚 The best of both worlds
Our members can continue living in their own homes, sleeping in their own beds and remaining part of their family life — while also having somewhere they belong during the day.

At The Old Courthouse, a typical day might include:
🎵 Music and singing
🎨 Arts and crafts
🧠 Games and cognitive activities
🌱 Gardening
🍰 Baking
🪑 Gentle and chair-based exercise
☕ Coffee, conversation and reminiscence
🎬 Film afternoons
🍽️ Freshly prepared meals
😂 And plenty of laughter!

Families regularly tell us that attending the centre gives their loved one something to look forward to, while also giving them reassurance and much-needed time to rest, work or manage other responsibilities.
That is why we are so passionate about the role good-quality day services can play in our community.
We don't just provide care.
We create meaningful days.
We build friendships.
We support independence.
We give families reassurance.
And most importantly, we help people continue enjoying life. 💚
