Partner Colin Duck presented Fiona with a cheque for £1,000, raised through the firm’s fundraising activities over the past year.

Diabetes UK supports more than 4.3 million people living with diabetes, providing vital resources, guidance, and support, while also campaigning for the rights of those affected by the condition.

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations last year, we were proud to support the RNLI as one of our chosen charities 🧡

Partner Debbie Dunlop, along with Karen Scott and Calvin Dunbar from our Girvan office, were delighted to present John Tait, Lifeboat Crewman and Treasurer of the RNLI Girvan Lifeboat, with a cheque for £1,000.

Girvan Lifeboat Station is a volunteer-led service dedicated to saving lives at sea. In addition to carrying out rescues, the RNLI Girvan team plays an important role in educating the local community about sea safety, helping to prevent accidents before they happen.

Their dedication helps protect mariners, fishermen, and coastal visitors, making our seas and shores safer for everyone. 🧡

Millie joined The McKinstry Company in the summer of 2024 after graduating from Harper Adams University and relocating to Ayrshire.

Millie successfully completed her Specialist Paralegal Qualification in Wills, Trusts and Executries in 2025 and now plays a key role in supporting the administration of estates. Millie has experience working with a wide range of estate matters and offers a thoughtful and personal service, supporting clients during what can be a difficult and sensitive period.

Outside of work, Millie enjoys spending time with friends, visiting her family down south, and going on walks with her wee collies, Buddy and Bonnie.✨

We are looking to appoint a solicitor to join the Property Team in our Ayr Head office.

We have an excellent client profile which will give you exposure to quality conveyancing work and established clients. Our approach is focused on building the client relationship rather than just processing the transaction. You will require to be enthusiastic, charismatic and have experience in handling a portfolio of residential conveyancing work. You will work as part of an established and well supported Team.

This position will suit a candidate with a minimum of 2 years’ p.q.e. Appointment of a suitably experienced candidate at Associate level will also be considered. In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy a range of benefits including:
