WANTED – Office Support Staff/Typist

We are a busy local Law Firm looking to add a member of admin staff to our current team. The ideal candidate would have a pleasant telephone manner and be a proficient typist. Previous experience within an office environment is preferable alongside excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Similarly, experience in dealing with work in the field of executries, wills and powers of attorney would be beneficial but not imperative for the right candidate.

Hours – subject to discussion and agreement – this could be a part time or full time post

About the Role:

We are looking for a Receptionist/Office Assistant to join our busy team.

You should have previous experience within an office environment and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be computer literate as you will be responsible for taking and relaying messages to other members of staff, along with closing and retrieving files from our system. You should be a proficient typist as accuracy is important for this role.

Hours : 25 to 30 hrs per week – additional hours available for holiday

Office hours : Monday to Friday 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm

Salary: To be discussed based on candidate’s experience.

Today marks a red-letter day for first-time buyers as the Scottish Government's First Home Fund is set to open for applications with £60m of public funding being made available.

The First Home Fund, first piloted in 2019 before being officially rolled out in 2020, is a shared equity scheme designed to help first-time buyers purchase their first home. Applicants can receive a £25,000 interest-free contribution toward their deposit, providing they can meet a minimum deposit of 5% themselves.

Last year the initiative helped 8,000 first-time buyers in Scotland and the Government's Finance Secretary, Kate Forbes, announced a further £60m of funding for 2021 as part of this years budget.
