Zeba Yahya and Sabiha Panchbhaya recently represented Bromleys at a law careers fair, they spent the event speaking with law students about their career paths, answering plenty of questions and sharing their experiences of working in the legal profession.

A fantastic evening celebrating the very best of Tameside’s business community at the Pride of Tameside Business Awards 2026! 🏆

Bromleys were proud to sponsor the Entrepreneur of the Year award, with Paul Westwell presenting the award to the very deserving Sarah Crossley of Your Well-Being Company. Sarah is no stranger to Bromleys, having previously joined us as a TWIBs speaker, so it was particularly lovely to see her recognised on the night.

A huge congratulations also goes to our charity partner, Willow Wood Hospice, who were named Social Enterprise/Charity/CIC of the Year.

The team rounded off a brilliant evening with Crazy Pool and bowling at Roxy Ball Room in Manchester, followed by some well-earned food!

Thank you to everyone involved in making the awards such a success, including Dean Kleban, Kelly Gray and Hannah Atkins from Tameside Council.

On Tuesday, Zeba Yahya, Trainee Solicitor in Bromleys' Wills & Probate team, was pleased to deliver a session at the Willow Wood Foundation's Foundations of End of Life Care seminar.

Speaking to healthcare professionals, Zeba explored the importance of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, mental capacity, undue influence and other practical legal issues that can arise when supporting individuals and families during challenging times.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge, encourage discussion and highlight the important role that legal planning can play in end of life care. Thank you to the Willow Wood Foundation for the invitation and to everyone who attended and contributed to such an engaging session.

We were delighted to welcome businesses from across Tameside and Greater Manchester to the launch of the Tameside Finance & Professional Services Network, delivered in partnership with Tameside Council , Tameside Means Business and GM Business Growth Hub.

Hosted at Tameside Stadium by our Managing Partner, Paul Westwell, the morning provided a fantastic opportunity for professionals to connect, share ideas and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the finance and professional services sector.

A particular highlight was the engaging discussion on AI and innovation, with speakers sharing practical insights on how emerging technologies are influencing the way professional services businesses operate and evolve.

We were also proud to support Willow Wood Hospice, our Charity Partner of the Year, and hear more about the latest Corporate Challenge initiative and the incredible work the hospice continues to do for local families.

Today, the team at Bromleys Solicitors was delighted to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of the fantastic work carried out by Macmillan Cancer Support.

A big thank you to Zeba Yahya and everyone who joined us, donated, baked, and helped make the morning such a success. Together, we've raised funds for a wonderful cause and enjoyed some great company along the way.

We are incredibly proud to have supported The Christie Charity as our charity of the year from June 2025 to May 2026, raising a total of £4,370.

Over the past 12 months our team have thrown themselves into fundraising, from themed lunches and a Santa dash to six of our team taking on the AJ Bell Great Manchester 10k.

The cause became far more personal than we could have expected. Just three months into the partnership, our practice manager Louise Nolan was diagnosed with breast cancer following her first routine mammogram since turning 50. The cancer was found at an early stage and Louise is continuing her treatment with the whole firm behind her.

Reflecting on her diagnosis and the care she has received, Louise said:
"The treatment and care I've received from The Christie cannot be faulted. It's an amazing facility to have in the region, and I'm so pleased that Bromleys has been able to raise funds for it, as The Christie Charity does tremendous work.
I want something positive to come from my experience, so I would encourage more women to attend screening appointments. It's also important to regularly check yourself."

We are grateful to everyone who donated, fundraised and supported us throughout the year. Raising money for a charity that provides such vital care and support to people across our region has been a privilege, and we are proud of what we've achieved together.
