Please check who is disposing of your waste / furniture, please ensure it is kept out of a roadside layby or farmers hedge.

To be legal and legit in this industry we have Public liability insurance, Employer liability insurance, Van insurance specifically for property clearance and waste removal (which is very expensive). Then we have to pay Corporation Tax, Van wear and Tear and Petrol costs are through the roof too. We then have to take ALL waste to a commercial recycling centre which we are charged by weight to dispose of, and of course the government adds a large VAT rate ontop of any charges. We also need to pay ourselves an hourly wage so factor this into any waste collections or house clearances we do. We also have storage costs and office equipment/supplies to run the business.
