If you do have to go to Court, what do Judges actually consider?
1. Your child’s needs - day-to-day, emotional and educational.
2. How any changes might affect them.
3. Each parent’s ability to provide care.
4. What the child wants (if they’re old enough to have a say)

Heading to your first meeting with a family lawyer? A little preparation can help you get the most out of your appointment.

✨ think about what you want to achieve. Are you looking to understand your legal rights, explore your options or find out what the next steps could be?

🎯 consider what your priorities are, knowing what’s most important to you will help focus the discussion.

📑 if you want advice about financial matters, gather as much up to date information as you can about assets and liabilities. This might include the value of any property, savings, investments, debts, pensions and income. Only use information you already have access to - there’s no need to search through your spouse’s personal documents.

✍️ write down any questions before your appointment. It’s easy to forget something important on the day, having a list means you can leave feeling informed and confident.

The more prepared you are, the more productive your first meeting is likely to be.

Charlotte and Breeze had a fantastic evening at the Manchester Legal Awards last week 🏆🍾

Thank you to for hosting us and always bringing great conversation to the table.

Greater Manchester Law Centre were the Official Charity Partner for the evening, it was an honour to support such a worthy cause.

The evening served as a reminder that for many, access to justice remains a privilege not a reality.

This National Men’s Health Awareness Week, we’re highlighting the importance of looking after both your physical and mental wellbeing during life’s most challenging moments.

Family breakdowns, separation, and disputes involving children or finances can be emotionally demanding. For many men, these experiences can affect confidence, stress levels and overall mental health.

While legal matters require practical solutions, it’s equally important to prioritise personal wellbeing. Reaching out for support—whether through family, friends, healthcare professionals, or trusted legal advisers—can make a significant difference.

Seeking help early can provide clarity and support better outcomes for everyone involved.

Lund Bennett Law can provide specific advice to help you navigate your situation with sensitivity and understanding.

A truly heartfelt review for Breeze Sweetman at Lund Bennett Law! 💚

A client described Breeze as their voice, guidance, and lifeline throughout nearly a year of family proceedings — not just fighting their corner, but ultimately giving them their life back.

👏 Excellent work!
