Aberdeen Bar Association ABA is the representative body for those practising within the territory of Aberdeen Sheriff Court

Throughout the year, the ABA runs a quality, yet cost-effective CPD programme on topical issues. We also organise a number of social events - the highlight of which is the Annual Dinner in May. Our current 2022-2023 committee is:-

Join us for our summer social at the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen on Friday 14th June 2024 at 7pm.

Mixologists from local company Reynolds Cocktails will provide us with a full cocktail bar service within the beatiful surroundings of the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen library.

Included within your ticket will be a bellini on arrival. You will then be able to take part in a cocktail masterclass. Reynolds Cocktails provide an introduction and demonstration on how to shake and pour a classic cocktail. Guests will then have the opportunity to make two cocktails of their choice. Alternatively, you can choose for an expert mixologist to make the cocktail for you!

Afterwards, the bar service will continue with cocktails priced at £8 each.

We will also be providing cheese boards, charcuterie boards and a selection of snacks.
The price of tickets is just £25 per person (plus the booking/card fee), which is heavily subsidised by the Aberdeen Bar Association. Tickets are limited in numbers and will sell fast, so purchase now to secure your place. An invitation is extended to members and their guests.

There are just four tickets (of 55) left for our annual Burns Supper at The Society of Advocates in Aberdeen on Friday 26th January 2024, having gone on sale just a week ago. These are available to members only on a first come, first serve basis. The tickets cost £30 plus the card booking fee.

The Aberdeen Bar Association invites members to our annual Burns Supper, which will take place on 26 January 2024 (7pm arrival for a 7.30pm start) at the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen. An email will be sent to members at 9am on Monday 4th December 2023 with details on how to purchase tickets.

Our annual Burns Supper will take place at The Society of Advocates in Aberdeen Library on Friday 26th January 2024.

We already have a fantastic lineup of speakers, with more to be confirmed. Tickets will be available to members only in the first instance(due to restrictions on capacity at our venue for an intimate evening). The Burns Supper has been a sellout event in recent years!
