🇬🇧The Master 2 Droit Anglais et Nord-Américain des Affaires (DANAA) of the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, directed by Professor Laurence Usunier, is honored to present its class of 2024/2025.

The graduating class of 2024/2025 is proud to announce they are sponsored by David-James Sebag, partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel, head of their New York office, and alumnus of the DANAA Masters program (class of 1999/2000).

The DANAA Master proudly and gratefully renews its partnership with Reed Smith LLP for another academic year.

We will soon be presenting each member of the class, as well as the members of the Association.

La promotion 2024/2025 est fière d’annoncer qu’elle est parrainée par David-James Sebag, associé chez Gide Loyrette Nouel, dirigeant du bureau de New York, et alumni du Master DANAA (promotion 1999/2000).

Le Master DANAA renouvelle avec fierté et reconnaissance son partenariat avec le cabinet Reed Smith LLP pour une nouvelle année académique.

On March 28, 2022, the students of the DANAA had the extreme pleasure to meet Ms. Myrane Malanda, an alumna of the Master and Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.

After presenting the details of her academic and career path, Ms. Malanda answered all of our questions on her LL.M at the University of Berkeley and gave us valuable insights into her practice as an antitrust and corporate lawyer. Her particular expertise in Competition Law and EU Law and her experience at the Autorité de la Concurrence were of great interest to a number of our students who intend to work in this field.

The students of the DANAA would like to warmly thank Ms. Myrane Malanda for meeting us and wish her all the best in the future

L’ensemble des étudiants souhaitent encore plus de succès à leurs prédécesseurs en attendant de se rencontrer une nouvelle fois à l’avenir !

On March 17, 2022, the students of the DANAA were warmly welcomed by Thomas Voisin, Managing Partner of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP’s internationally renowned Paris office.

After a detailed presentation of his academic and career path, Mr. Voisin answered all of our questions and gave us valuable insights on how to start a successful career as a lawyer. His particular expertise in arbitration was of great interest to a number of our students who intend to work in this field.

Moreover, as Quinn Emanuel is a global Business litigation firm, this meeting was a good opportunity for our students to apprehend and learn about another field of competency of the legal spectrum.

This meeting was very enlightening for the current students of the DANAA who would like to profusely thank Mr. Voisin and wish him all the best in the future.

La promotion 2021-2022 du DANAA a l’immense plaisir d’organiser sa première soirée Alumni le 24 mars 2022 dans l'appartement décanal du Centre Panthéon. De 19h à 21h, les anciens étudiants du Master sont invités à rencontrer les brillants étudiants qui se sont succédés depuis la création de la formation. Ce sera également l'occasion pour les anciennes promotions de se retrouver et de se remémorer leurs meilleurs souvenirs autour d'un verre.

On March 11, 2022, the students of the DANAA were pleased to host a meeting with Ms. Morgane Guyonnet, Associate in the International Arbitration team of White & Case LLP.

This meeting was particularly interesting as Ms. Guyonnet is an alumna of the master, giving the students more insight into their professional prospects.
Ms. Guyonnet presented the law firm, the role of the arbitration team and explained the reasons she decided to specialize in this area of practice after interning in major international law firms and arbitral institutions. This discussion was a good opportunity for the students to inquire about the internships and application process.

Having passed the New York and Paris bars following her LL.M. at Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Guyonnet was also able to provide precious advice on how to prepare for these exams.

This meeting was of great benefit for the current students of the DANAA who would like to warmly thank Ms. Guyonnet and wish her all the best in the future.

On the 18th of February, the students of the Master 2 English and North American Business Law had the great pleasure to meet Ms. Eve Duminy in the Parisian office of Bredin Prat.

Ms. Eve Duminy presented the specificities of Bredin Prat and how it is continuously developing in new sectors. This on-site meeting allowed the students to find out more about the organization of the law firm and the reality and challenges of the profession.
The promotion also had the opportunity to gain more insight into the recruitment process and receive precious advice for their future applications.

The students of the master highly appreciated this enlightening meeting and would like to thank Ms. Eve Duminy for her time and dedication.

On the 17th of February, the students of the master had the pleasure to be invited to a web conference held by Mr. Yanis, Mac BOURGEOIS, Economic Officer at the World Trade Organization, and alumni of the Master 2 English and North-American Business Law.

Mr. Bourgeois presented the institutional organization of the World Trade Organization and explained the negotiation and decision process within the institution.
Mr. Bourgeois also introduced the students to the opportunities and challenges that the WTO faces with the development of new technologies and E-commerce.

The discussion ended with a very enriching exchange on the rather public career of our host and the contributions of private law in it as well, informing the students of the different opportunities available to them.

The students of the master would like to warmly thank Mr. Bourgeois for this very interesting and enriching conference.

On February the 10th, we had the great honor of being hosted by Ms. Esperanza Barron Baratech, Associate in the Latham & Watkins’ Paris office.

During this meeting, Ms. Baratech shared her academic and professional background as a member of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice. Ms. Barrón Baratech has acted in both institutional and ad-hoc international arbitrations, with a particular focus on investment, energy, oil and gas, and construction.

During a Q&A session, we had the opportunity to learn more about Latham & Watkins’ arbitration practice and the arbitration field in general. Ms. Esperanza Barrón Baratech kindly offered her insight as a lawyer and gave us valuable pieces of advice for our future careers.

We would like to warmly thank Ms. Esperanza Barrón Baratech for her time and dedication.
