Another dark day in lesvos
6 bodies washed up on the shores of Lesvos this morning.
6 more lives taken by fortress Europe.
Currently we have no more solid information about how many have been lost, a boat rarely contains only 6 people.
We watched from the hope project for hours the search for others.
There were no others found.
3 men and 3 women dead on the shores of Europe.
I don't know how many more tears I have
The prevailing feeling is anger.
Anger that the only route to "safety" left, is by sea.
Anger at the indifference of the world.
Anger that civilian search and rescue groups are criminalised, so there is no one there to help.
Anger that people are left to drown alone and with no chance of rescue.
Our Anger quickly turns to tears of grief and helplessness.
But our tears are useless, our tears will not bring back the dead.
Our tears go unnoticed by Europe because they do not value human lives. Their only focus is on numbers, on stopping the refugees arriving.
Well this is the results of stopping the refugees arriving.
