The Mulhouse Photography Biennial (BPM) is a festival dedicated to contemporary photographic creation and to distinctive perspectives on the social, ecological, and cultural changes of our time. Through an international program combining exhibitions, residencies, and projects in public spaces, BPM supports both emerging and established artists and fosters cross-border exchange at the heart of the Upper Rhine region. Deployed across numerous cultural and heritage venues in Mulhouse and its surrounding area, BPM has established a lasting presence in the city’s cultural landscape and affirms its commitment to photography in dialogue with the contemporary world.
As part of the festival’s opening days, the BPM presents the Photobookdays afternoons, dedicated to contemporary photography publishing. In collaboration with Micamera, the program includes talks and encounters, lectures, presentations, and book signings, reflecting the vitality and diversity of photographic publishing.
