One of the most common misconceptions is that once your visa approved, you can travel "before" the travel dates you requested.

In many visa cases, if your visa is approved, the validity period may begin "on or around the travel dates you declared or requested in your application".

This is why choosing realistic and accurate travel dates is an important part of your visa application.

Note:

A well-planned and prepared visa application isn't just about submitting complete documents, it's also about making sure every details, including your travel dates, is carefully planned and accurate.

As a first-timer visa applicant, you must be aware about this important detail.

I never thought I'd write this.

Six years ago, I left NAIA Terminal 3 feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly traumatized after being offloaded twice.

Last week, I walked through the same terminal with a completely different experience.

Everything was professional, respectful and smooth with the IO interviews.

This post isn't to compare officers or terminals.
It simply my personal experience and a reminder that every travel situation is different.

As someone who now works for Schengen Visa and Immigration Industry, I've learned that preparation, consistency, and honesty really matter.
