THERE ARE ALWAYS RUMOURS ABOUT IMMIGRATION.

One week people are told that Arraigo will disappear.

Another week they are told that everyone without papers will be deported.

Then someone says there will be a new amnesty.

And the problem is that these rumours can cause real harm.

They create fear.
They make people worry unnecessarily.
They can make people rush into decisions.
And sometimes people change important plans because of information that is simply not true.

We have been through this many times before.

For years, people regularly wrote to us asking:

“Will there be an amnesty?”
“When will it happen?”
“I heard there is already an amnesty.”

Our answer was always the same: there was nothing officially confirmed yet, and if that changed, we would inform everyone.

And that is exactly what happened.

The same day there was official confirmation about the ammesty we immediately published a video explaining it. Diba?

So you can be calm: when there is a real and important change in immigration law, we will tell you.

You do not need to live worried about every rumour you receive on Facebook, WhatsApp or TikTok.

That is why it is important to check whether the information you receive is official, approved and actually in force.

Regarding the latest rumour saying that Arraigo will permanently disappear if Pedro Sánchez does not win the next election:

NO. THAT IS NOT TRUE.

A future government can change immigration rules, make some requirements stricter or reform certain procedures.

But Arraigo does not automatically disappear simply because the government changes.

At MSM Legal Consulting, when there is a real and important change in immigration law, we will explain it clearly and based on official information.

Until then, please do not let rumours create unnecessary fear.

Some people ask us that they have received their admission letter and they have not been able to find a job and they want to know if that can make them have a denial on the amnesty process. Here is the answer.

After yesterday’s post, many people messaged and called us because they were worried about working in Spain.

Some people who are planning to move to Spain from other European countries or Philippines asked us if Spain is dangerous for Filipino workers.

We just want to explain something.

Serious cases, like physical violence from an employer, can happen. But this is not normal. These are exceptional cases.

What is much more common are difficult working conditions.

Many Filipino workers, especially in domestic work, work 10 or 12 hours a day, from Monday to Friday, and sometimes also on Saturdays. In many cases, they receive around €1,200 or €1,300 per month.

Some workers also have problems with holidays, rest time, extra hours, unpaid salary, dismissal or unfair treatment.

Unfortunately, these situations are not unusual.

These problems are even more common for people without papers or in a vulnerable situation. Many are afraid to complain because they think they can lose their job or have problems with immigration. Some employers take advantage of this fear.

This is one of the reasons why we are working hard to defend these workers and help change this situation.

But physical violence from an employer is different. This is not the normal situation in Spain.

We share these cases because we want people to know their rights and to know that they can ask for help. We do not share them to make people afraid of Spain.

If you are thinking about coming to work in Spain, please do not think that what happened in the case we shared yesterday is something that happens normally.

And if you are already in Spain and you have a problem with your employer, you can contact us.

We have Filipino staff who speak Tagalog and can listen to your situation and explain what you can do.

For labour problems, our support is free and confidential.

So please do not be afraid because of yesterday’s post.

If one day you have a problem, you can count on MSM Legal Consulting.
