The British Ambassador to Spain, Sir Alex Ellis, met with the Spanish Government’s Subdelegate in Almería, José María Martín Fernández, at the Parador de Mojácar.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the British Vice-Consul in Málaga, Miriam Pérez Martín, and the British Honorary Consul in Almería and Director of Salvador Tax & Legal, Alejandro Guerrero Salvador. Senior officers from the Vera Company of the Guardia Civil also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Sir Alex Ellis enquired about the situation of British citizens affected by the Bédar–Los Gallardos forest fire and conveyed the United Kingdom’s gratitude to the Spanish Government for the extensive deployment of resources in response to the emergency.

At Salvador Tax & Legal, we join the Ambassador in recognising the work of all the authorities, security forces and emergency services involved, and extend our support to everyone affected as the recovery and reconstruction phase begins.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected by the devastating fires in Bedar and the surrounding areas.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and send our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those who have been lost in this disaster.

We also extend gratitude and thanks to the Fire Attendants, Emergency Services and Military Personnel who have fought tirelessly to get the situation under control despite the challenging conditions.

We ask for your to be handed in by the 31st of May to enable us to ensure that all forms are processed by the 30th of June deadline.

Hi everyone, we hope you are well and have been enjoying some of the lovely sunshine 🌞 today.

📋 is nearly upon us and here at Salvador Tax & Legal, we are here to help.

Most of you will already know that the tax year here in Spain runs from the 1st of January to the 31st of December and as a 🇪🇸 Spanish Resident you have an obligation to submit a Tax Return [RENTA] to the Agencia Tributaria [Spanish Tax Office]. This form should be submitted by no later than the 30th of June.

As a resident, you are obliged to declare any Spanish and “worldwide” income and our detailed Tax Return Form will be emailed directly to our clients, and the form has been designed to make completion very straightforward for you. If you are not a client, you can contact any one of our offices for a form.

If there is a Tax Payment due as a result of your tax return, the Agencia Tributaria, offers two options:

✅ Option 1
Make a one off payment covering the total due.
✅ Option 2
You can split the total due over two payments, the first being on the 30th of June [60%] and the second payment due on the 5th of November [40%]. It should be noted that there is no interest or penalty charge applied if you select to pay by option two.

Whether you are an existing client who has used our services before or a new resident to our lovely part of Spain, if we can assist you with completion of your Tax Return for 2025, please contact our colleagues in 📍 | 950 500 401 , 📍 | 950 23 71 55 and 📍 | 950 47 31 92.

And, if you don’t have a printer 🖨 to print off the Tax Return Form when you receive it, you can collect a copy from your closest office.

Tax Return Forms are due to be sent out from the 31st of March onwards, so don't worry, you have not missed receiving one 👍

Second day of my UK trip and a very special visit to Palmers Solicitors at Palmers House in Chelmsford, Essex.

I had the pleasure of meeting with BJ Chong and Ricky Valks , who, as always, made me feel completely at home. When professional collaboration is built on genuine trust and friendship, conversations naturally become more productive and meaningful.

Palmers is a well-established law firm with five offices across Essex, offering strong expertise in private client work, corporate matters, property and inheritance law. A structured, forward-thinking firm with a clear commitment to long-term client relationships.

Our collaboration began back in 2013. Since then, we have worked closely together assisting British clients who purchase property in Spain, relocate, or establish businesses there. Year after year, we have strengthened a solid bridge between the UK and Spain.

This meeting was particularly productive. We discussed how to further refine our coordinated approach and outlined several future projects that we will be developing together. Always with a practical mindset and focused on delivering real value to clients on both sides.
