The Faculty of Law at The British University in Egypt is delighted to welcome Ms. Youssra Alansary our newly hired Assistant Lecturer.

Ms. Alansary holds dual Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degrees from Ain Shams University and Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, both awarded with high distinction. She also earned a Master 2 in Business Law, specializing in Private International and Comparative Law, with honors from Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3.

Alongside her academic achievements, she brings valuable practical legal experience from her work as a Junior Associate at Alansary Law Firm.

We are proud to welcome her to our academic community and look forward to her contributions.

Meysan has acted as legal counsel on the establishment of a KWD 50 million senior unsecured bonds programme launched by Kuwait Financial Centre (Markaz), as well as the successful issuance of its first tranche.

The inaugural tranche, with a total value of KWD 35 million, was offered to qualified investors through a private placement. It consisted of two equal portions: KWD 17.5 million in fixed-rate bonds and KWD 17.5 million in floating-rate bonds, each with a five-year maturity. Proceeds from the issuance are intended for general corporate purposes, including the refinancing of existing borrowings.

In connection with the first tranche, Ahli Capital Investment Company and Markaz acted as joint lead managers and subscription agents, alongside Gulf Capital Investment Company.

Meysan’s mandate covered advising on corporate structuring and regulatory matters, securing approvals from the Kuwait Capital Market Authority, and drafting and negotiating all transaction and offering documentation. The firm also advised both Markaz and the joint lead managers throughout the programme’s establishment and the ex*****on of the first issuance.

The Meysan team was led by Partner Tarek Yehya, with support from Senior Associate Samar Jrade.
