From Legal Education to Professional Practice

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the First Cohort of the Summer Legal Internship Program 2026, organized by AGLC – Intellectual Property & Arbitration in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Badr University in Assiut, Egypt.

Today marked the closing day of the first cohort, bringing together our interns to celebrate the completion of their training journey and to receive their Certificates of Completion in recognition of their commitment, participation, and dedication throughout the program.

The program was designed to provide a comprehensive and practical introduction to the legal profession, combining academic knowledge with real-world legal practice.

Throughout the internship, the participants were exposed to a wide range of legal and professional disciplines, including:

A significant part of the program was dedicated to practical legal simulations, culminating in a final Moot Court and simulated arbitration hearing, where the interns had the opportunity to apply their legal research, analysis, drafting, advocacy, argumentation, and professional communication skills in a practical setting.

Our objective was never simply to deliver lectures.

We aimed to create an environment in which law students could experience how legal knowledge is transformed into professional judgment, strategic thinking, advocacy, risk assessment, and practical legal solutions.

AGLC extends its sincere appreciation to the President of Badr University in Assiut for supporting and facilitating this meaningful academic and professional initiative.

من التعليم القانوني إلى الممارسة المهنية

نفخر اليوم بالإعلان عن الاختتام الناجح للمجموعة الأولى من برنامج التدريب القانوني الصيفي 2026، الذي تنظمه AGLC – Intellectual Property & Arbitration بالتعاون مع كلية القانون – جامعة بدر بأسيوط.

وقد شهد اليوم ختام أعمال المجموعة الأولى من البرنامج، حيث اجتمع المتدربون للاحتفال بإتمام رحلتهم التدريبية، وتسلم شهادات إتمام البرنامج تقديرًا لالتزامهم ومشاركتهم وحرصهم على الاستفادة طوال فترة التدريب.

وقد صُمم البرنامج ليقدم تجربة قانونية عملية متكاملة، تجمع بين المعرفة الأكاديمية ومتطلبات الممارسة القانونية الفعلية.

وخلال فترة التدريب، تعرض المشاركون لمجموعة متنوعة من المجالات القانونية والمهارات المهنية، شملت:

كما تضمن البرنامج جانبًا مهمًا من المحاكاة العملية للممارسة القانونية، تُوّج بتنفيذ Moot Court وجلسة تحكيمية ختامية محاكاة، أتاحا للمتدربين تطبيق مهارات البحث والتحليل والصياغة والمرافعة وعرض الحجج القانونية والتواصل المهني في إطار عملي.

ولم يكن هدف البرنامج مجرد تقديم محاضرات نظرية.

بل سعينا إلى خلق بيئة تدريبية يتعرف من خلالها طلاب القانون على كيفية تحويل المعرفة القانونية إلى حكم مهني، وتفكير استراتيجي، ومرافعة قانونية، وتقييم للمخاطر، وحلول عملية للمنازعات.

Today marks the first day of the Summer Legal Internship Program 2026, organized by AGLC – Intellectual Property & Arbitration in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Badr University in Assiut, Egypt.

This program goes beyond the traditional concept of a summer internship. نفخر اليوم بانطلاق أول أيام برنامج التدريب القانوني الصيفي 2026، الذي تنظمه AGLC – Intellectual Property & Arbitration بالتعاون مع كلية القانون – جامعة بدر بأسيوط.

ويأتي هذا البرنامج ليتجاوز المفهوم التقليدي للتدريب الصيفي، ويعكس رؤية مشتركة تهدف إلى بناء جسر حقيقي بين التعليم القانوني الأكاديمي والممارسة المهنية الفعلية، بما يمنح طلاب القانون فرصة للتعرف بصورة مباشرة على المهارات والمسؤوليات والأخلاقيات المهنية والتفكير الاستراتيجي الذي تتطلبه الممارسة القانونية الحديثة.

سابقة قضائية جديدة تُضاف إلى سجل AGLC

يسر AGLC – Intellectual Property & Arbitration أن يعلن عن صدور حكم لصالح موكله من محكمة القضاء الإداري – الدائرة الثالثة، في الدعوى رقم 36802 لسنة 78 ق ضد نقابة المهندسين، والذي قضى بإلغاء القرار السلبي بالامتناع عن قيد المدعي بالنقابة.

وتُعد هذه القضية من القضايا المبدئية التي عالجت مسألة امتناع نقابة المهندسين عن قيد بعض خريجي كليات الهندسة استنادًا إلى اشتراط الحصول على شهادة الثانوية العامة، دون الاعتداد بمسار التعليم الفني السابق للالتحاق بالكلية.

يؤكد هذا الحكم دور القضاء الإداري في مراقبة القرارات الإدارية وصون مبدأ المشروعية، بما يحمي حقوق الأفراد ويُخضع الجهات الإدارية لسيادة القانون.

A New Legal Precedent Added to AGLC's Record

AGLC – Intellectual Property & Arbitration is pleased to announce a favorable ruling from the Court of Administrative Justice – Third Circuit, in Case No. 36802/78 J.Y. against the Engineers Syndicate, annulling the syndicate's implicit refusal to register the client as a member.

This case addressed a significant legal question: the syndicate's refusal to register certain engineering graduates on the grounds that they lacked a general secondary school certificate, without recognizing their prior technical education track leading up to their engineering studies.

The ruling reaffirms the essential role of administrative courts in reviewing administrative decisions and upholding the principle of legality — safeguarding individual rights and holding administrative bodies accountable to the rule of law.

Special thanks to the AGLC team for their outstanding work in building the legal arguments and pursuing this case to a successful conclusion.

It was a privilege to visit the CCPIT Patent & Trademark Law Office in Beijing, the intellectual property arm of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)—one of China’s most respected institutions dedicated to promoting international trade, protecting innovation, and advancing intellectual property worldwide.

During this distinguished visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Hui Gao, Deputy Director & Trademark Attorney of the International Trademark Department, and Ms. Qi (Amy) Liu, Deputy Director of the Domestic Patent Department. Our discussions focused on the future of intellectual property protection, international legal cooperation, cross-border enforcement, and opportunities to strengthen strategic collaboration between China, Egypt, and the Middle East.

Today, intellectual property is no longer merely a legal right; it is a strategic asset that drives innovation, attracts investment, and supports sustainable economic growth. Building trusted international partnerships has become essential for protecting innovation and creating new opportunities across global markets.

我非常荣幸访问中国贸促会专利商标事务所（CCPIT Patent & Trademark Law Office）。作为**中国国际贸易促进委员会（CCPIT）**直属的知识产权机构，该事务所长期致力于促进国际贸易、保护创新成果，并在全球知识产权领域享有卓越声誉。

Strengthening Legal Bridges Between China, Egypt, the Middle East & Africa

As part of AGLC – Intellectual Property & Arbitration’s ongoing international expansion strategy, I was honored to visit Zhonglun W&D Law Firm in Beijing—one of China’s most prestigious and internationally recognized law firms.

It was a privilege to meet with an outstanding group of distinguished partners and engage in highly productive discussions on establishing a long-term framework for strategic legal cooperation between our two firms.

Our meeting focused on exploring collaboration across a broad spectrum of legal practice, including Intellectual Property, International Arbitration, Cross-Border Investments, Corporate & Commercial Law, Economic Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and international business development.

We also discussed how our firms can jointly support Chinese companies investing in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa, while assisting Egyptian and regional businesses seeking to expand into the Chinese market.
