Uus regulatiivsete muudatuste laine on tulekul, sest The Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulatsioon jõustub juba sel aastal. Uurisime meie advokaadi Julia Gramma käest, kuidas saavad krüptoettevõtted regulatsiooniks ette valmistuda (🇬🇧, 1 min lugemine).
1️⃣ First of all, what do we mean by crypto assets?
The term crypto asset varies between different jurisdictions. According to the EU Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) crypto assets is a digital representation of a value or of a right that is able to be transferred and stored electronically using distributed ledger technology or similar technology. These include, for example, electronic money tokens (EMT), asset-referenced tokens (ART), utility tokens and other crypto assets.
2️⃣ Who must apply for the crypto license in the EU?
MiCA regulation applies to various entities within the EU involved in the issuance and provision of crypto-assets services. If you are targeting the customers from the EU and provide crypto-assets services, then your activities are under MiCA regulation.
