Law Firm Glimstedt Estonia participated in a high-level defence cooperation visit to Ukraine, where our representatives Ringo Heigmets and Randu Riiberg took part in discussions focused on defence industry cooperation, public procurement, and practical cross-border cooperation opportunities.

Together with our Ukrainian partner Ilyashev & Partners, we continue to support Ukraine by advising on defence sector projects, public procurement, investments, and regulatory matters.

Glimstedt, together with its Ukrainian partner Ilyashev & Partners, represents NGO Slava Ukraini on a pro bono basis in proceedings in Ukraine concerning the alleged misappropriation of charitable funds and related damages claims.

This is a cross-border matter of significant public interest, with Glimstedt and Ilyashev & Partners jointly coordinating the client’s legal assistance and representation.

Ukraina ja Briti suursaatkonnad Eestis korraldasid kontserdi Crossing Cultures – õhtu Ukrainale.

Ukraina, Eesti ja Suurbritannia muusikaga täidetud õhtu tõi kokku Ukraina sõbrad ning tuletas meelde, et kultuur, inimlikkus ja ühised väärtused ühendavad meid ka keerulistel aegadel.

Laval esinesid Yevgeniy Kostrytskyy (viiul, Ukraina), Jamie Howe (vioola, Ühendkuningriik), Alexander Avramenko (klarnet, RO Estonia, Ukraina) ja Sasha Grynyuk (klaver, Ukraina/Ühendkuningriik).

Kavas kõlasid teosed, mis peegeldasid nii ajalugu kui ka tänast hetke – muu hulgas Ralph Vaughan Williamsi „The Lark Ascending“ (1914), mis on kirjutatud Esimese maailmasõja alguses ning jõudis ettekandele alles 1920. aastal. Samuti kõlas Arvo Pärdi „Spiegel im Spiegel“ (1978), tähistamaks helilooja juubelit. Lisaks oli kavas Ukraina heliloojate looming, sh Theodore Akimenko.

Kontserdi korraldas EMTA kontserdi- ja etenduskeskus koostöös Ukraina ja Briti suursaatkondadega Eestis.

Until 14th of December, the Estonian U20 national ice hockey team is competing in Milan, Italy, at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship. Advokaadibüroo GLIMSTEDT is pleased to be a new supporter of the Estonian U20 national team.

Attorney-at-Law Aleksandr Kostjukevits advised the payment service provider
MarTrust Corporation Limited on designing its global Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance strategy.

As part of the project, a comprehensive review of the existing client onboarding and data refresh framework was carried out with the goal of enhancing client convenience and reducing administrative burden while ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.
MarTrust is the world’s largest payment institution specializing in the maritime sector, processing over USD 17 billion in payments annually. The collaboration with MarTrust represents a significant step forward for Glimstedt Estonia and reaffirms our capability to serve global clients.
Aleksandr Kostjukevits leads the financial sector and compliance practice at Glimstedt. He has extensive experience in both the Estonian and international financial markets, having previously held several senior roles.

New Attorneys-at-Law at Glimstedt!

At the Estonian Bar Association’s board session on 7 October, 17 new attorneys-at-law took their oath — among them Ringo Heidmets and Sandra Valdek-Padovani from Glimstedt.

Sandra focuses on civil litigation, corporate law and employment law, while Ringo’s main area of expertise lies in public procurement, EU grants and administrative law.
