After 13 years in a historic building, today marks the beginning of a new chapter for BestIP. Today is our first day in our new, modern offices at The Squaire, Frankfurt Airport.

Leaving a place that has accompanied us for so many years is not without emotion. At the same time, we are highly motivated and genuinely excited about this important step forward. Our new location offers state-of-the-art infrastructure, outstanding accessibility, and a professional environment ideally suited to support the continued development of our activities.

We look forward to welcoming our clients and partners in this new setting and to continuing to provide our services with the same commitment that defines BestIP: client focus, reliability, integrity, and responsibility.

🇬🇧This year the INTA meeting was from May 18, 2024 – May 22, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA also called the Peach state and the birthplace of the most well-known trade secrets ever – Coca Cola.
We were deeply impressed by the speech of the keynote speaker Dr. Bernice A. King, daughter of Martin Luther King Jr.
We enjoyed meeting colleagues, clients and friends from all over the world discussing the most burning Trademark issues, participating in committee meetings, attending Table Topics, enjoying Southern food, volunteered, being Swan sponsors and successfully bid for the World central kitchen cookbook for Brand Action, supported the INTA Foundation with the purchase of a photo made by James Cornish called „an Amble in Amble“ and last but not least celebrating the last evening in the new and very impressive Mercedes Benz stadium.

🇬🇧Last week our attorney Simon Knoll had the pleasure to represent BEST Rechtsanwälte at the 18th International Congress of the Association for European Attorneys (AES) in Budapest for the first time. He was not only given the opportunity to return to the beautiful city of Budapest in which he spent six months as a law student but also to meet with fellow attorneys from all over the world with practices covering all fields of law and with different levels of experience. Congratulations to the organization committee for this very successful congress!

🇩🇪Letzte Woche hatte unser Anwalt Simon Knoll die Ehre, BEST Rechtsanwälte beim 18. Internationalen Kongress der Association for European Attorneys (AES) in Budapest erstmals zu vertreten. Er hatte nicht nur die Gelegenheit, in die wunderschöne Stadt Budapest zurückzukehren, in der er sechs Monate als Jurastudent verbracht hatte, sondern auch, sich mit Kollegen aus der ganzen Welt zu treffen, deren Kanzleien alle Rechtsgebiete abdecken und unterschiedliche Erfahrungsstufen aufweisen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an das Organisationsteam für diesen sehr erfolgreichen Kongress!

At this year's DIVERSITY Conference, a pivotal event for diversity in the workplace, our law firm was represented by Brigitta Best from the management team. The conference took place from November 6 to 8 in Berlin and also in a digital format, focusing on future challenges and opportunities in diversity management.

Under the theme "Mission DIVERSITY – What We Need Now!", the event addressed topics like age diversity, ethnic origins, gender diversity, and the inclusion of people with diverse physical and mental abilities. The goal was to identify practical solutions and methods for everyday organizational life.

Brigitta Best participated in various discussions and workshops where experts from business, politics, and academia shared their knowledge. This participation enables our law firm to better understand and apply current trends and strategies in the field of diversity.

The Picasso Museum and our visit to Mougins, where Picasso spent his final years, provided us with profound insights into the nexus of art and intellectual property. Our colleagues Vanessa Stefano and Simon Knoll participated in the Trademark Administrators & Practitioners (TMAP) Meeting 2023 in Denver, Colorado, USA, for the first time and returned with many positive impressions.

TMAP is an INTA event for trademark administrators, paralegals, and attorneys who manage global brand portfolios.

Thanks to high-caliber speakers, including paralegals, attorneys, and other professionals, a deep understanding of the current challenges and developments in trademark law and protection was conveyed.

Vanessa and Simon not only had the opportunity to attend sessions on topics related to the current challenges and developments in the branding field, but they also actively participated in the networking events and social activities of the meeting. A particular highlight was their volunteering commitment to the Angel Heart project, which specializes in preparing and delivering medically tailored meals for people with serious illnesses.

What a great pleasure it was for us to participate in the PTMG Conference held in Athens once more this year.

The PHARMACEUTICAL TRADE MARKS GROUP (PTMG) organizes two significant conferences annually on pharmaceutical trademarks and related topics. This year's main conference took place against the impressive backdrop of Athens and offered extensive insights and discussions over two days.

Brands in the pharmaceutical sector are essential for patients and healthcare professionals. In a market characterized by a multitude of products, they not only serve as marketing tools but also play a crucial role in patient safety by preventing medication-related naming errors.

Founded in 1970, PTMG is a driving force in this field, providing a platform for pharmaceutical brand professionals to exchange ideas and collectively address the ever-growing challenges.

At BEST IP, we're committed to making a difference beyond the legal landscape. Our ongoing support for "Voice, Art & Social," an NGO fusing artistic expression with social impact, is one way we do this. Although we're consistent backers of their work, their latest project especially caught our eye. The initiative is a compelling collaboration with Ukrainians living in Luxembourg and Luxembourg's own George Philippart, the children's choir Chorale des jeunes "Zolwer Spatzen" and Mara van Dyk. Together, they've released a song that stands as a powerful international statement of solidarity. But this is more than just music—it’s a call to action. The project aims to raise funds to finance an ambulance for Ukraine, meeting a critical need in these challenging times. Donations are being accepted via bank transfer, and your support can serve as a lifeline for those who need it most.

In an alarming statistic, it was found that 37% of children aged 6 to 9 were involved in car accidents, 29% were cyclists, and more than a quarter (28%) were pedestrians. For those aged 10 to 14, cycling was the most common scenario for accidents, with 53% getting involved this way, 22% in cars, and 16% on foot.

In view of this concerning situation, BEST IP agreed to support the 4th grade pupils of the Hostato School (Hostatoschule) by funding the purchase of the book "Children Safe in Traffic". This bicycle education book, developed in collaboration with the Frankfurt Traffic Watch by K&L Publishing (K&L Verlag), is an important step to improve the safety of our children on the roads.

Last year, we already supported the sensitization and education of children on the topic of safety in our cooperation with the Hostato School, where the song "Wir wählen 112" (We dial 112) was created, a joint initiative with The Voice of Germany star George Philippart (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDt4I0p3ixs) This project aims to raise awareness of the correct use of the emergency call system.

This year, we had the privilege of supporting Luxembourg Pride in multiple ways. As advisors in the field of brand protection, we contributed to safeguarding and strengthening the rights of the event. But our involvement went far beyond our professional duties. As volunteers, we sold delicious Thai food at the bustling street festival's Foodvillage for Voice, Art & Social. With this action, we raised money for Luxembourg Pride (Rosa Lëtzebuerg) and other charitable causes. It's our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equality that drives us, and we look forward to continued collaboration with Luxembourg Pride and other organizations advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.

We've officially registered Luxembourg Pride as a , fortifying its unique identity and protecting its mission. Now, starting from June 29, we are joining hands with our friends in Luxembourg to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTIQ+ community. With pride and passion, we stand for equality, acceptance, and individuality. - together, we're championing a world that's vibrant, diverse, and inclusive!
