28η Οκτωβρίου – Ημέρα Εθνικής Υπερηφάνειας και Αντίστασης

Η 28η Οκτωβρίου αποτελεί μία από τις πιο λαμπρές σελίδες της νεότερης ελληνικής ιστορίας. Είναι η ημέρα που ο ελληνικός λαός, ενωμένος και αποφασισμένος, ύψωσε το ανάστημά του απέναντι στις δυνάμεις του φασισμού και του ολοκληρωτισμού, λέγοντας το ιστορικό «Όχι» το 1940.

Η επέτειος αυτή δεν είναι απλώς ένας εορτασμός του παρελθόντος, αλλά ένας διαρκής υπενθυμισμός των αξιών της ελευθερίας, της αξιοπρέπειας και του δικαίου.
Οι Έλληνες του 1940 υπερασπίστηκαν, με θάρρος και αυταπάρνηση, όχι μόνο την πατρίδα τους, αλλά και τις θεμελιώδεις αρχές που στηρίζουν κάθε δημοκρατική κοινωνία.

Το «Όχι» συμβολίζει την αντίσταση απέναντι στην αδικία, την προσήλωση στην εθνική κυριαρχία και την πίστη στις πανανθρώπινες αξίες του δικαίου και της ελευθερίας.
