HR problems rarely start as HR problems.
They usually start as small decisions that seem perfectly reasonable at the time.
A contract gets copied from an old template.
A fixed-term employee is renewed “just for another year”.
Leave keeps accumulating.
A poor performer isn't formally managed because everyone is busy.
A manager makes an arrangement with an employee but nothing is put in writing.
Then, two or three years later, that small decision becomes a labour dispute, compliance problem or significant financial liability.
At FHS Enterprises, one of the things we regularly see is that good HR management isn't about creating more paperwork. It's about putting the right structures in place before there is a problem.
For growing businesses in particular, that distinction matters.
What is the biggest HR challenge in your business at the moment?
Contracts? Performance? Leave? Recruitment? Retention?
Compliance?
